It's Saturday and I am at home, just relaxing. This is weird. Saturday is usually crazier than the rest of the week :)

I'm posting a lot these days, sorry to spam you...anyway I just want to tell one things: some people on my flist were asking me if my new crush/show/whatever is becoming more attractive than SPN. I think I have some friends scared.
Don't worry Val is here. With her Dean/Jensen love stronger than ever.

Anyway, the answer to that question is yes and no.

Praising Ben Edlund:
I've said this in the comments of my blog many times before, but I believe Ben Edlund has developed into the best Dean writer. However, Edlund did right by all three characters (Sam, Dean and Castiel) and I just can't believe how amazing this episode was. Let's break it down.

Can he write all the episodes??? Please!

....and Jensen Ackles:
Jensen, I can't say enough about how much he says with one simple facial expression. He doesn't even have to utter a word. It's just one heartbreaking look after another.

I was thinking about my attitude towards fanfictions.
I have been mostly a lurker into the Buffy/Angel and the Battlestar Galactica ones, active in the Dark Angel fandom.
I have had a different attitude towards fanfictions. I totally read AU and preseries in DA, I was totally for canon in the others. I don't even know why...maybe because in DA I didn't have what I did want or maybe because I saw possibilities they decided not to explore.
With BSG, I mostly read canon and sometimes preseries fics. Maybe it's the only show that pretty much satisfied me with where they went. Yeah sure, I would have wanted another finale for my favorite characters, but it fitted and so...fanfictions fill the hole.
With SPN is not like this, even though I read ff (and I have read some very good altrnative verse which I enjoyed), I still think it's the show that has to give me the answers. I am totally canon with SPN and really, it amazes me how I am unable to enjoy AU or things that are too much different from canon. No matter how good is the writing. This bothers me because with the other fandom I didn't have this issue.

...yep I think about the show. I miss SPN, I miss Dean but...not really excited about the show at the moment. Thoughts under the cut.

I am rewatching Angel. I am on S3 right now.

I had forgotten how much I had loved this show when it aired. I still love it more than Buffy.

I think it's because it's darker or maybe because I think the characters are older and more mature. I don't know, I just love everything in it. Yet it's not perfect.

Dark Angel and X Files, the two shows I have loved the most I think, were so flawed, but I still think they are powerful and interesting.

Same goes with SPN...it's not perfect either but it's a show I love to bits. I love EK dry sense of humor, I love his story even when the show doesn't go where I wish it to go.

I have just rewatched 509 and I have liked it more than this morning. Thanks also to smart conversations I had with some friends, who made me see another point of view.

I still think there were too many filler episodes lately, but I love SPN.
