“I love how despite his persistence to classify himself as a inhumane monster, Damon is the most human. His impulsiveness, his sadness, his pain, dealing with unrequited love, his humor as a defense mechanism; it’s some of the hardest things about being “human” and feeling. Damon is always being drowned in it despite how much he tries to turn it off. He’s got layers, shows his true colors, and he’s imperfect. He’s relatable and tragically realistic. THAT is the reason why I love his character.”
I don't know who wrote it on youtube, but that's why Damon is my favorite character ever! Along with Dean Winchester, of course.

Date: 2012-02-21 09:52 am (UTC)I agree, Damon might be perfect for me because he makes me feel things that other characters don't, but he does because is in not perfect. When a character is described as perfect or whatever he does is forgiven or forgotten it annoys me endlessly.
Damon pays for his actions. He doesn not have a free pass and is recognized he is able of both good and bad things.
So yep, his being flawed makes him perfect!
