TVD: Damon makes Val happy.

HAPPY WEEKEND FLIST!!!



Things I like, written while watching:

-Andie. I was happy to see her again. I like her attitude. I'm just sorry she was still compelled. I would have liked to see her chosing to be with Damon.

-Ghosts.I liked Anna a lot, so I am happy to have her back.

-Damon.Snarky!Caring!Hurt!Damon is my favorite.

-Alaric.Parental!Angsty!Alaric is interesting to see. He has a new role now. I am curious about its development.

-Klaus.I wasn't fond of him in S2, but I am starting to enjoy his presence.

-Stefan.Bad!Stefan is so much more interesting than brooding!Stefan.

-Damon/Alaric. I love to see them working together and sharing little things about how they feel.

-Damon talking about Stefan. He does know his brother and it's pretty clear he is worried about him.

-Stefan/Klaus interaction. It's pretty interesting to see what it will go.

-OMG Damon/Elena..You know I am not a crazy Delena shipper but the chemistry between those two...I just love Damon with Elena. Ok I just love Damon.

-Caroline. She still is pretty awesome but probably she should try to understand Matt more.

-OMG OMG STEFAN. What did he do? What did he do to Damon? To Andie? To all the people who love him? I'm so sorry Klaus is right, it's true Stefan is putting up a good show, but that he still cares. Oh Stefan...I feel sorry for him and for Damon...I hate to see the boys so distraught, torn. I hate to see how painful this situation is for both of them. I truly hateit but, at at the same time, I love it because I am all for the angsty brotherly bond. Stefan is there because he wanted to save Damon's life. Damon is the one who wants to save his brother now and feels guilty about who Stefan is now.
Awww I love Damon so much, I love these two brothers so much.

-the only thing I really didn't care about was the Caroline/Tyler affair...Can't help, Tyler is totally indifferent to me.

Boy, that Stefan, what a douchebag! It's always the younger brother, ain't it? LOL! ;)

IA that Stefan the Ripper is interesting, though for me not at all sympathetic, even with the teary-eyed act on the phone with Elena at the end of the episode. If Stefan can still manage feelings, so much so that he still wants to hear Elena's voice and tears up about what he's become, then why didn't we see a crack in the veneer when he was with Damon? Stefan really didn't have to kill Andie - though I guess if he wanted Damon to think he was that far gone, that would do the trick.

I'd like to think that, compelling or not, Damon had developed some feelings for Andie - I think he did as he wanted to save her, and Stefan wouldn't let him. And then he seemed sad when he knelt over her body. So I'm thinking the meltdown he had in Stefan's room at the end was not just for how far gone Stefan is, but a little for Andie's unnecessary death too.

I'd think fandom might be all over a Stefan/Klaus thing, though. ;)

I always like it when Damon and Alaric team up. I think Ric should have stayed with Elena and Jeremy, though. Yeah, Elena may be 18, but she's still really a child.

Obviously I haven't gotten to the episode where Anna actually dies. I assume that happens in one of the S1 episodes I haven't seen yet? I do find Jeremy's "I see really dead people" gift interesting. Looks like he and Matt are developing a friendship too.

But I can't be paid enough to care about the Caroline/Tyler thing. Tyler's mom shooting Caroline in the back was intriguing, though. ;)

I agree with you about the different behaviour Stefan had with Elena and with Damon, again I think it's the "I am the younger brother who takes you for granted" thing. I have seen Stefan seriously worried abut his brother only when he found out that Damon was about to die.

It was so cruel what Stefan did to Damon killing Andie and totally not necessary.

LOLOLOL. MTE! :D i really like how this Ripper!Stefan arc is giving him some depth. before he was just 'mr. goody-two-shoes, holier-than-thou'. now he has layers. layers are good :D

I just never wanted Damon/Andie because it was incredibly clear from canon (and from interviews) that she was never anything but a distraction for Damon. Whether she was compelled or not, whether she wanted him or not, he really wasn't into her.

Yeah, re: Tyler. Trevino is just not very charismatic. He works as a supporting character, but in this secondary lead role, he's just not doing it for me.

Damon was perfection. (But, LORDY, FIX HIS HAIR!)

I wasn't into ANDIE/DAMON neither..probably because I don't really ship Damon with anyone, but I did like ANdie per se and her death was unnecessary, so yeah I am sorry she is gone.

It's not only Trevino for me, it's Tyler who doesn't make me feel anything.

Oh yes, Damon was perfection and you know the moment I liked him best was in Stefan room. I just love Ian's way to portray vulnarable, lost Damon..he had the same look he had when Anna told him that Katherine never looked for him or when Kath told him it was going to be always Stefan...those wide open teary blue eyes...awww DAmon...

I loved that a good part of this episode was centered around the brother dynamic and the lengths that they will go to for each other. It really showed the depth of their bond <3.
