Is LJ still barely working? I haven't had much time to be online yesterday and today I tried to comment on my flist posts, but it's quite impossible...this hacker attack against for political reasons is so mean, so very mean...

DDoS attacks stink. And they can go on for a very long time. It depends on the skills of the network managers vs. the hackers. I hope the problem is fixed soon, though. Is it political? I haven't heard anything about the motivation behind the attacks.

Looking forward to new shows this week! The wait has been way too long.

There are a couple articles going around my flist with the details, but essentially, yes, it's political, and I frankly give the LJ PTB credit for keeping the site up as well as they have given these unrelenting coordinated attacks via the Kremlin. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Yes, absolutely, a truckload of credit to the LJ IT guys. My husband's IT and has gone through warding off DDoS attacks. It's pure hell dealing with them. Many, many sleepless nights dedicated to thwarting hackers. I'm hoping too that it's over.
