Good morning flist and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY [livejournal.com profile] carcrash_heartz. Wish you an awesome one :)

First: I LOVED LOVED LOVED Dean and Sam in this episode. My love for Dean has reached new levels and I adore, seriously, Castiel.

Second: The episode for me was about love, broken promises, broken dreams and broken boys. It wasn't about Dean or Sam, since this is still an issue in the fandom.

It was about Dean showing how much his inner strenght, his values, his beliefs, his will are all still there and how much he loves his brother. It was about Dean that is special in his own way. So special that God tested him, so special that God wanted him out of Hell. And if the only reason was stopping save to save the world, how can you tell is not enough? It's much more than just Sam. So much more.

It was about an awesome angel, Castiel who, the more come closer to Dean, the more becomes human.

It was about a boy who can't decide what to do with his life, because he knows he can be dangerous but he desperately wants to be good.

-nice recap with a lot of MOTW and some mythology.

-that first scene...just gross. I could barely watch at 6 in morning.

-"I will never"...oh Dean, you don't believe yourself :)

-Research and the boys talking about the case in a motel room. It so classic and a very good feeling. Weird to talk about normalcy but that is theirs.

-"Bring back memories?"...yes Sammy, bad ones. It scares me how Sam seems to have forgotten Dean was in Hell. I mean it would be the first thing I would think about, even if Dean kept them hidden.

-Poor Metallicar.

-Oh boys you were so right...that bitch was the witch.

-I am evil...I love hurt!Dean.

-She broke the seal. It's scary...

-Zombies??? I guess Dean doesn't scare easily.

-Dean&Castiel and Uriel&Sam scenes were awesome.

-Castiel doesn't envy Dean...this is scary.

WELCOME BACK CASTIEL, I've missed you a lot!!!

I shouldn't say it but Sam's reaction was hilarious. He was meeting an angel and he was sorry because he pointed the gun at him, which was perfectly normal. He was so embarassed and happy. Hopeful too.
Castiel broke the magic telling him what he did but I think he was right. He made it clear, they know what is going on with him and that they don't like it. Castiel is in a war and he can't care about hurtng the feelings of people.
Meanwhile I loved the confidence he seems to have with Dean and the fact that they saved the boys lives. I also liked how Dean kinda stopped Castiel when he was talking to Sam. Uriel is so more detached than Castiel. He's there for accomplish a job and he will. Castiel is more human in a way.
Uriel just look at the bigger picture. Dean and Sam are caught in the middle.

"you are supposed to show mercy"...I thought Sam could have reacted that way. All his faith can be destroyed or at least questioned. Sam has this idea of angels as good ones and if you think about it, it's normal, but not smart coming from Sam. With all he knows, all his researches, all he has learned from Dean about Castiel, he should know that there is a war and that casualties can happen. Sacrifice some, to save the most.
I see his reasons: he sees what he has always believed in falling and he feels like he's losing his safe harbor. If angels can let people die, what can he do with his demons blood? He can't be better than them.

About Dean, Castiel knows how to push him...talking about John and the orders. Dean's reaction. But I loved that he stood up and said they can disobey, that killing people was just wrong. Like in JUS. Btw Dean should have learned from what happened there. He did the right thing, but it didn't work. It was useless.
He's inner hero, he's sense of justice come out in all its intensity. He knows the angels care about him. He uses this weapon.

"Waste me, kill me because I won't go away.We can do this".Guess I couldn't love him more in that scene.
Jensen delivered those last lines perfectly just using his voice. PERFECT.

When the boys came back in the car and talked about the angels, it was just big brother and little brother. It was Dean reassuring Sam and was Sam asking Dean to reassure him. It was comfortable. Sweet.

Clearly Uriel and Castiel are different. They want the same things but they are ready to act differentely. Castiel is more like Dean.
They want to save Dean. Uriel wanted to drag him away. They care about him because he has potential. I don't think it's just because of Sam. There's more. I want to know :)

I liked that Sam talked to Dean first about using powers again and obviously Dean told him he didn't have to since they are dangerous.
Of course Sam won't listen, playing exactly the game he shouldn't play but can he really be blamed for this?.
I don't think so. Guess he didn't have any chance.

Dean's look when he saw Sam using the powers and Sam looking back at him...*cries*.
All the promises Sam made were broken, all the hopes Dean had were shattered. They are both broken.

Uriel is powerful and I liked his interaction with Sam. So now we know that they can kill him anytime, just not now. Because he has been useful so far.
And thanks God, Uriel made Sam think about Dean and what he remebers from Hell, because as I said, it bothers me that he hasn't already done.

A TEST??????????
The angels, God or whoever, tested Dean?
I loved how Dean thought he failed because he didn't obey and I was happy to hear Castiel telling him that he misunderstood.
What I love in Dean is this strong feeling that saving people is the most important purpose of his life. I love he gave Sam the credit for what he did even if he paid a high price.
Castiel? I am in total love with him. Thanks to Dean he is having doubts, questions...just like Dean.
Bottom down, Dean is not alone, Castiel can relate to him. Castiel might not be perfect, but he is there.

And Sam? He is not alobe either, because no matter what, Dean is there, for him.

Blame [livejournal.com profile] smilla02 for this.

Dean's heart is big. Bigger than everything. So big that even Castiel is starting to see things in a different way. Castiel who is supposed to be more perfect because he is an angel. Castiel, who is actually thinking Dean can know better than him.
I mean Castiel is getting in touch with his humanity, a humanity he couldn't have because he is supposed to be perfect, he is supposed to be more perfect than human beings but Dean...Dean and his own humanity are showing Castiel something.

Castiel acknowledged that Dean did the right choice. He was proud and content of Dean.

To me it's even clearer that angels want Dean for Dean. Not because they need him to stop Sam. They want him to do it, they don't need him to do it.
There's a big difference.
