HAPPY FRIDAY FLIST and HAPPY WEEKEND.
Wanna talk about the last episode?
Good to see you again Meg :). Probably the character I miss the
most...I would have enjoyed to have her working with the boys instead of Ruby.
-Jensen face when Dean said he's creeped out...so scared and lost.
-wow a lot to read about angels ;)
-"Dude, where's the pie?"...LOL!
-Dean worried for his little brother in the Impala :)
-I have such a thing for tormented, hurt Dean!
-The secret chamber is pretty creepy but very smart idea. "Bobby you are awesome"...he is indeed. He taught a lot of things to the brothers.
-"So what we do now?"-"Roadtrip! Grand canyon..."I guess they really should :)
-"Opium?" and that how to call it, smirk?
-"You ok?"..."No"...that voice...*sighs
-Boys and guns, action FTW!
I liked the main plot, the idea of people that could not be saved haunting the hunters is interesting. You could learn something from them, but I think the boys don't deserve to be blamed. They made mistakes, but they never did them on purpose and they hurt for them.I was disappointed in how they portrayed Hendriksen when he first met Sam. I had another idea of the agent, more like a knight in his shiny armor, ready to die for the higher plan. I know, this is only my idea and probably, Viktor was just a human being scared of what happened and the way he died.
Viktor was even more cruel with Dean. Not only because he hurt him, but for what he said...because of all the things Dean can deal with, he can't deal with the idea of a failure which costed other lives. With the idea of himself being alive and others being dead.
Meg and Dean. Nicky and Jensen have so much chemistry...I felt sorry for Meg, really sorry but Dean was right. They did the best they could. In Shadow they didn't even know Meg was possesed and when in DT they excorcised her, what else they could have done?
One more thing...Dean knows, he really knows what it means, he just doesn't know yet.
Meg really hit a nerve when she talked about Ruby. Sam is using her? Sam somehow justifies here? Does he trust her? I guess Sam doesn't know yet what to do with himself.
Every word Meg said was probably the mirror of Sam's greatest fear...becoming a monster. Btw I see Sam a lot less compassionate this season.
Since the ghosts had all a brand, does it mean they have been sent to
haunt the boys, to weaken them?
"The rising of the witnesses" from The Revelations. Something very big
is going to happen. The seals broken to bring Lucifer back. The Apocalypse. The mythology is getting better and better!
I'm glad Dean talked to Bobby and Sam about Castiel. There are already
too many secrets. They reacted the way we expected to. Dean doubtful,
Sam hopeful. Bobby like the most unbiased of the three.
Again self esteem issues...big time. I wonder whether Dean will ever realize how valuable he is. I know this can sound a litte bit cheesy,
but if we do believe in god, he has a plan for everybody of us. He cares about everybody of us (which is unbelievable most of the times).
I understand Dean's doubts. I guess they are the same we all have, but
no way he can consider himself just a regular guy. He is not. I love he is scared. I really love how stubborn and humble Dean ca be.
I also love that Sam tries hard every time to convince his brother he is important.
I think is important Sam is not scared of angels and he still believes in God. It's a way for him to think he is safe. He's good, if angels are around he has a hope. He can work for the goos side. Maybe it could be helpful in the future for him.
Interesting what Ruby said about demons being scared of angels. Looks like they are more powerful than ordinary demons.
It's funny she said that angels smack first, then asks questions.
Don't demons do the same or even worse?
I love that Castiel is not an angel like we use to think. I love that he is a warrior. Castiel and Dean. It's going to be a very difficoult relationship.
Dean has so many walls. From his point of view he is right, it's hard to believe that God leaves people living horrible things or that demons are free to kill them, but Dean has to understand there is a war and that Angels have another role. Protecting human beings is possible only fighting the demons.
Lilith broke the seals. She rose the ghosts. Lucifer is coming. Dean has to believe it quickly.
The actors:
Jensen is stunning, really he is. His performance was and he is so pretty.
Loved Jim as usual and this time I liked Jared a lot too.
Misha Collins plays Castiel very well. He and Jensen together make a good team.
I'm sorry, but I still don't like Geneneve Cortese. Ruby is not a damsel in distress. The actress is flat...of course just my opinion.

Date: 2008-09-26 05:59 am (UTC)I still love Castiel, but damn, blackmailing much. I pulled you out, I can put you back....nice angel he is. That is cruel. I am all for angels not being perfect, but that was was nasty. I thought he was a good guy, threatening Dean with Hell is not a good guy thing. Not happy with Castiel.
I have to admit I was not one of the Meg lovers back in the old days, I've since learnt my lesson,
she was awesome tonight and I want her back.
Ruby still doesn't work...Geneneve still isn't working. Her voice seems flat and uninteresting. She doesn't bring me in to the character at all.
Misha and Jensen are rocking the Angel-Hunter thing big time.
Meg had a point with Sam, she really did about all the innocent bodies that have been lost thanks to Ruby, but Sam doesn't send her back to Hell.
I am wondering if Sam should be scared about the threat Angels might be to him personally.
I still want to know, along with Dean, what it is about Dean that God needs? Castiel give it up already. There are plenty of good guys, hunters, that God could have used. He sent an Angel into Hell to get Dean out....why?
Here endeth my point of view *g*

Date: 2008-09-26 07:37 am (UTC)My lovely Jensen girl :)))
Misha said that Castiel is borderline, plus I think Dean needed something strong to start to open his mind.
Agreed on Geneneve.
I guess Sam wants the angels to exist so that he can somwhow feels reassured.
Why? Because it's Dean Winchester and this is enough for me! Yeah tell me about it, I am biased :)))

Date: 2008-09-26 06:03 am (UTC)But loved the pie-lol. When have I ever forgot? Oooh Sammy! Hehehehee! I enjoyed having Meg and Henrickson-and even Ronald back. It was amazing to see Dean interact with Meg-especially when she asked him if he thought he was some kind of hero! Poor Dean-he's never felt that way and to have her rub that into his face! Ok-I love Misha! So cool-he's rock solid acting against Jensen! They really made their scenes pop! And sadly-I agree-I really do not care for the new Ruby. At the moment(for me anyway)she has the emotional range of a teaspoon. I just can't enjoy her-lol.

Date: 2008-09-26 07:41 am (UTC)Yeah Meg was pretty hard with both the boys, and so was Viktor.
Ditto on Ruby.

Date: 2008-09-26 07:16 pm (UTC)Oh yes, they were-but it was good to watch-even if they did try to kill him, Sam and Bobby!
Heee, I am thinking there isn't much love for the new Ruby/actress.

Date: 2008-09-26 06:32 am (UTC)the boys were all so awesome, Cstiel included!
I loved having Meg back so much that was so interesting!
Im not a big fan of the new Ruby although she annoyed me less this week than last week, but still I prefer Meg too :)

Date: 2008-09-26 07:49 am (UTC)Can't say something coherent yet, only one thought - don't you think those ghosts were attacking the boys and Bobby cos they were under thet spell? I mean when they died there were no accusations from them, they were rest in oeace and were rose from thet state by Lilith - so maybe it's not their real thought and words they tortured boys with? Maybe it's Lilith's words spewaking through ghosts' mouths?

Date: 2008-09-26 09:26 am (UTC)There's a lot Castiel and Dean have to learn from each other and Sam, well he has to deal with a long of unpleasant stuff.
I'm sure they will win at the end, even if this doesn't mean a happy end.
Sis, have you heard from lil sis lately?

Date: 2008-09-26 09:42 am (UTC)Bobby like the most unbiased of the three. ~ And that's one of the things I love about Bobby. He tends to get painted as a John stand-in a lot of the time, but I think he's probably better at letting the boys come to their own decisions than John ever was. (But that's probably because John more than likely always saw Dean and Sam as his little boys....)

Date: 2008-09-26 10:15 am (UTC)John was their father, scared for his boys, so yes Bobby is more a guide for them :)

Date: 2008-09-26 02:14 pm (UTC)And OMG HURT!EMO!INSECURE and INTIMIDATED!DEAN all in one epi. *melts into a fangirl puddle*
I must say I was actually a little disappointed in Jared's performance (but that's just my opinion of course). I don't know, that scene with Dean and Bobby where Dean was asking "Why me?" I kept think that Jared was about to crack up laughing at points, but hey I did watch it quite late at night so maybe it was just me. I still think he did a great performance in other scenes, just not so sure of that one.
As for Geneneve, yeah I have to agree with you she is definitely a little flat. Though I think she has the scared $h#tless Demon bit right. If I was a low level Demon and Angels were walking around for the first time in 2000 years, yeah I'd be packing it as well. I think she should be scared, the Angels ain't going to take too kindly to her interferring me thinks!
Misha Collins is my hero, hot damn does he have that character down pat already. I know that people are cranky that he was dissing Dean, but he just lost 6 of his fellow Angels and has obviously had a crap week and then the upstart (sorry Dean) that he pulled out of Hell is giving him lip. Yeah I think he has a right to be peeved at Dean and DAMN if it didn't send shivers down my spine when he put Dean in his place. Oooohhh, I just love it when Dean gets intimidated. (Yeah I'm a baaaaad person! ;P)
I just adore the chemistry that Jensen has with Misha, it down right electric and it's make for fantastic scenes between them.
I was so happy to see Meg, Ron and Victor back. There were 3 of my favourite characters through out the seasons. I was a fan of Meg and I was sad to see Nikki go. As you said her chemistry with Jensen is fantastic and it was awesome to see them play off each other again.
I just love how they are building up the relationship with Bobby and the boys. Jim just owns that character and it's fun to see the boys being told off good naturedly and loving every minute of it. I also love how protective Dean is of Bobby, it showcases all the things I love about Dean.
Were only 2 epis in and I'm already adoring this Season, I think Jensen is right this will be their best season yet.

Already melted. Still melting :D
I kept think that Jared was about to crack up laughing at points,
I did thought the same to be honest.
Misha Collins is my hero,
After Jensen I would hope ;)

Really? Actually I loved it. I mean come on I don't want a blonde, peaceful angel. I want a borderline warrior!
I just adore the chemistry that Jensen has with Misha, it down right electric and it's make for fantastic scenes between them.
I know I will be flamed for this, but maybe better than with Jared sometimes...
I also love how protective Dean is of Bobby, it showcases all the things I love about Dean.
We do share a brain!!!

Of course, no one will take that place! ;P
I mean come on I don't want a blonde, peaceful angel. I want a borderline warrior!
Hell YEAH!! That's what excited me so much about the mythology for this season. The warrior Angel angle has always fascinated me.
I know I will be flamed for this, but maybe better than with Jared sometimes...
LOL! Yeah I'm afraid that I have to agree. I've always love the chemistry between Jared and Jensen of course, but Misha is a stronger actor than Jared and Misha and Jensen acting together is just dynamite. (Sorry Jared fans, I still like him, he will always be great as Sam, but he is only a good actor not a great actor) Yeah we are totally going to get flamed. Oh well, I have broad shoulders! :D
We do share a brain!!!
We so totally do! It's awesome! :D

Date: 2008-09-26 04:27 pm (UTC)Hon... you wanna be tortured slowly and then die suffering like Dean in Hell for what you said about Jared and Misha :)
Dunno for me it's like there is more tension, excitment. I guess it is because Castiel is a total different character from Sam and his relationship with Dean is different of course.
no subject
Date: 2008-09-27 01:30 am (UTC)I love the dynamic that Castiel is creating in the show. As much as I love the boys interacting, it brings the best stuff out of them when they are coming from opposite sides. I am an angst lover so I am lovin' to see those little under currents of tension between the boys, the differing opinions and secrets. Don't get me wrong I want it fix to some extent at the end (though *sniffles* I doubt Kripke will make it a "happy" ending), but I just love the tension and angst it creates in Dean and Sam to have different sides pulling them in different directions.
Oh and the lost vulnerable Dean that they are letting us see is just DELICIOUS and the Castiel dynamic with Dean just heightens that, so yeah loving the Castiel/Dean/Sam pull that is happening.
What can I say I am a twisted soul and love to see the beauty that is Jensen playing tortured characters. Hmmmmm....DELICIOUS!!!
Not only that but it looking like this season they are quite happy to beat the crap out of Dean, so yeah I might be roasting in hell for my Jared comment, but damn if it doesn't feel like a lazy day sunbaking on the beach with all the Hurt!Emo!Vurnerable!Dean they have going on this season. WOOWHO Bring on the Hurt!Dean :D

Date: 2008-09-26 07:25 pm (UTC)I love the episode. Besides the new girls, my favorite dead characters were back. Yay! Too bad Kripke killed of the dead peoples *g* Kripke rules. Killing dead people... *shakes head* he's a genius!
Will rewatch the eppy in hires, so I'll probably have to watch it a third time, because if Jensen is distracting in grainy low res already, then I'm sure I won't be able to hear what is said when the Pretty appears on my big computer screen in hires! *g*
Happy SN weekend!

Date: 2008-09-29 12:48 am (UTC)Sam's scene with Meg scared me. I don't like the path he's going. He's so cold. He's lost his compassionate side. Even his interaction with Dean is different. Meg's comment made that even more clear to me. It's scary.
I still haven't made up my mind about Castiel. So far the character is interesting and Misha Collins is pretty good, but threatening Dean... I don't know. I'm not totally convinced he is who he says he is, which is why I think Dean is not completely wrong in resisting to believe in God and angels.
I'm sorry, but I still don't like Geneneve Cortese. Ruby is not a damsel in distress. The actress is flat...of course just my opinion.
Word.
Dean... I don't know what else to say beyond what you already did. I relate to him to much and that he always makes me cry. I wish he could the awesome person he is because in spite of everything that he has went through in his life he still keeps trying to do the right thing and to help others. I'll just stop now.

Date: 2008-09-29 09:37 am (UTC)The only thing we might disagree a bit is Castiel. I love that he is not an angel like we think they are now. I love that he is so borderline. I also love to see how Dean is affected by his words.

Date: 2008-10-01 01:37 pm (UTC)And yeah I don't like the actress playing Ruby too much either, I mean Ruby is supposed to be a demon! tough, sarcastic even a little arrogant... but as you say this girl looks more like a damsel in distress than a warrior along with the boys... she's really weakened the image of Ruby that the fandom used to have.
