Short review because I am attending a training course all day and I odn't have much time.

I loved the episode btw, it had its moments.

I really enjoyed this episode. It was both funny and angsty.

I loved Dean and Cas rebonding. How Dean told him to talk to him. Also, I loved how Cas opened up...so much trust in Dean he has....but he is running away. He does not want to know anything about Heaven because he can't deal with the consequenecs of what he has done.
I feel sorry for him, because right now angels are toying with him and using him and I don't like it.

I liked to see TEAM FREE WILL working together again.

Amelia's dad was smart. He got the whole situation in what...few minutes?

Cartoons as a safe place...Dean Winchester Hunterus Heroicus and all the Jensen expressions!!!

Not a mythology heavy episode, but it had few hints. Plus Sam words to Fred sounded spoken
more for himself than for Fred...and Cas, well I think he got the meaning of them
too.

So Don was alive....is this the reason why Sam left?

Very very happy with Cas after this episode.

Have a happy Thursday!

I'm thinking that may be it...Poor Sam. He is a Winchester. When something like that happens, you step aside. Think the scrapbook at the beginning was suppose to be a clue.

*HUGS*

I thought the episode was gonna be super stupid but I gotta say that it had its moments, you're right. those moments though weren't the Dean/Castiel for me though. Their interactions leave me completely indifferent. I kinda feel sorry for Castiel too though and I gotta say that when he works with the boys he brings some fun moments.

On a prsonal note, Sam/Jared looked really good in the flashbacks! O.O
Anyway, these are the best memories we have seen so far. You know that the previous ones were completely lame and pointless for me. But these.... it's like finally we saw that Sam didn't exactly move on like Dean meant notting to him and that he thought was "the best" and he knew he was running from his past. I'm still not condoning him... but better than last episodes.

Moreveor, I loved what he said to the guy when he was in his head about not being possible to run away from something.. that was really felt. I wish Dean was there to listen to it instead of Castiel.

I agree with you. These have been the best memories we had from Sam. I didn't feel the sorrow and the pain that they were supposed to show, but I think it's due to the fact that I have never liked much JP acting...so yeah a step in the right direction.

Let's see if something good can happen again.

Late reply to your review here, but I very much agree with your take on this episode. It was surprisingly pretty good and I was laughing aloud at a great deal of the antics, especially the end fight between Dean and the 'villain'. Hee!

I loved Dean and Cas rebonding. How Dean told him to talk to him. Also, I loved how Cas opened up...so much trust in Dean he has....but he is running away. He does not want to know anything about Heaven because he can't deal with the consequences of what he has done.

I loved that part too, so very much! The moment int he motel room between Dean and Cas was probably one of my top favorite moments of the episode. I love how Dean kept prodding until he got an emotional response from Cas and then went over and sat across from him and told Cas to simply talk to him. Gah, I was so mad Sam interrupted even though it was intentional. Darn case!

Hee and I loved being vindicated by the show that Cas was still running away from what he had done, particularly in heaven! Like you, I do feel sad for him since he is being manipulated by a faction of the angels now. I don't like it but I am intrigued to know how they are able to do that and more importantly how they were able to get Castiel out. Dean's right about there being a gigantic downside with something like this and I'm so glad that Dean is aware and watching for signs of trouble.

Amelia's dad was smart. He got the whole situation in what...few minutes?

I initially skipped all the Sam flashbacks except the last one because they so utterly bore me, but I did end up rewatching them and I have to agree. Amelia's dad was spot on and very smart. Also? The actor was Jerry from waaaay back in S1 in "Phantom Traveler". He was the guy who called Dean up and asked for his help. It was neat to see him again! He did a great job. :) One other note about the Sam flashbacks--I think these were the best flashbacks Sam's had at least in terms of content. Trigger wise they were all over the place and kinda shoved into the episode except for one of them.

Not a mythology heavy episode, but it had few hints. Plus Sam words to Fred sounded spoken
more for himself than for Fred...and Cas, well I think he got the meaning of them
too.

There was definitely hints of mythology due to Cas' presence. I have a feeling the mystery of what is going on with him is going to play a large role in what is coming later. Indeed, Sam's words to Fred seemed more self directed--more of a self realization that took forever to catch up to him after his terrible behavior towards Dean since Dean came back. Now for Sam to just realize how much Purgatory messed with Dean. Speaking of, I don't buy that Dean is stable for one minute. He has PTSD, no question. PTSD on top of PTSD and all it takes is the right trigger and he will explode and nothing in his path will survive, including himself since Dean is a natural protector and tends towards self-destruct rather than taking everyone else down with him (they just fall too cause they're usually standing on him to begin with).

I'm looking forward to seeing Dean and Benny interact this week! I'm simultaneously biting my nails though because I don't want anything to happen to Benny. Hopefully there will be another couple flashbacks to Purgatory and we'll get another glimpse at the friendship growing between Dean and Benny.

I can't wait for Benny and Dean interaction again.

Not sure where they wont to go with Sam's storyline but atm I am not interested in it, so I don't care.

I agree about Cas and of course about Dean. Dean is far from being ok. I just hope the writers don't forget this and give us some good development.

Now excuse me I have to rewatch some TVD, because the more I watch tha last episode the more I think the writers are so teasing us that is not even funny...and Damon broke my heart again.

LOL!
