Honestly, throughout this episode I kept wanting to get back to Damon and Alaric and Jeremy and Matt and, surprisingly, Meredith. same here and I want more intercation between Damon and Damon.
Actually I didn't mind Bonnie too much Her attitude with Damon and Stefan annoyed me to no end because they didn't have any other choice...oh yes they could have let Elena die. Plus she was the one to help Klaus because she felt she didn't have a choice...so hypocrite. I get she is mad at them and she has the right to, but she is not that innocent as she likes to think about herself.
Appreciated the honesty there tho compared to her scenes with Stefan Amen.
I liked her character and how's she evolved until the second half of this season. Now I just want her to shut up. Exactly my point!
Some positives? JEREMY! DAMON! MATT! YES YES YES!
I especially enjoyed his reaction to Damon informing them that Ric's alter ego was at the wheel and no longer controllable leading him to suggest killing him quickly and cleanly. Looks like Jeremy can't accept yet that the events are so much bigger than them adn that they can't control them, but just defending themselves....awwww Jer...
Personally, I think Jeremy's reaction was the most believable of the bunch and most understandable. ITA!
Speaking of Anna, I'm guessing we have her to thank for keeping Jeremy protected when he was dead with the ring on. That's a great point!
And Damon was indeed right and, this may be just me, but his argument with Damon had far more fire than anything he said to Elena in this episode. He just...came to life as it were and I really wish they had more interaction I want Team!Badass forever and nwo it's gone...gone-...OMG why?
Jeremy going to the Grill and getting a drink with Matt felt very in-character for me too, especially with the immense distance between him and Elena. Elena and him have a lot of issues that need to be addressed and the main one is the lies Elena tells her brother. I agree. She keeps treating him like a puppy who needs to be protected. He needs, but he needs to know. He needs to be considered as a part of the team.
Honestly, I think Jeremy has less issues with Damon because Damon may be a dick but he's always given it straight to Jeremy and owned his actions. I agree, also because Damon is honestand doesn't deny who he is and what he does. He can even apologize if he realizes that he's wrong. So yes, I kinda see them as little brother/big brother.
(note how Jeremy only said Damon was here when he came into the tomb where Ric and Elena were) I loved that he mentioned Damon only. He acknowledged that the only one who counted in that moment for him and for Ric was Damon.
and Matt knows what it means to have to be the 'man of the house'. So much love for Matt.
