I just loved this episode, It wasn't epic but it was all about redemption, love and trust.
-LOVED RIC THIS TIME! He was just asking for an apology. For some redeption. Damon acknowledged it. He apologized in his own way, but he did and he did mean it.BBF FOREVER!!!
-I loved that they touched the redemption theme. It's redemption what Damon is looking for even if he is not going to admit it anytime soon. It's redemption what Stefan needs to find again.
It was awesome to listen to Mason's words while looking at Damon's expression. Damon is changing, no better, he is finding again the good that was buried in him. Elena might have been the spark which forced him to look inside himself, but it's Damon who has decided to be a different person. He can fall again, he can break, he can lash out again, but he is making his redemption journey. Step by step.
-DAMON WAS PERFECT IN EVERY SCENE!!!
-I loved Stefan in this episode, probably more than in the others. I like the ripper, but what I like in Stefan is his constant struggle to keep thebalance in his life. I want to see his human side again.Empty Stefan is not my thing for too long. It's funny, but it's not compelling. I need multi layered characters, not mono dimensional ones. That's why I was happy with him in this episode. I saw glimpses of Stefan in there.
-Loved Bonnie. She did the only thing she could, with the necklace and wth Jeremy. Speaking of Jer...how quickly did he forget he was madly in love with Vicki? He stated he had always loved Anna, which might be true, but he did love Vicki too...so it seemed a little bit forced imho.
-Loved Elena too this time. She realized at some point that she had to let Lexi go. I also really appreaciated what she told Stefan at the end. She's right, she can't wiat forever.
-I didn't miss Klaus and his sister. I think the Originals need to be on and off in this show. It adds balance.
-Wondering about Kat and Mikael...and aboutthat cave and its drawings...couldn't help btw, the cave reminded me of the one in Smallville.
I am really excited to see where the show is going,it's getting more and more interesting for me. I am really loving this season.
HAPPY SPN FRIDAY and HAPPY HALLOWEEN WEEKEND!!!
