HAPPY BIRTHDAY
ginatras. Wish you the best in your life. You are so awesome!.
Yesterday on Rai4 the Home rerun aired. It still is one of my favorite SPN episodes...and Dean calling his father? I can quote every single word. That scene still makes me tear up. More now since we know what the boys have been through.
Jared is so different...I have to say phisically I liked him more in S1 than now.
I have just finished watching 5.13 and this is what I consider an excellent SPN episode.
More under the cut.
"Troublemaker already"...It's ok baby, it's ok. Angels are watching over you". *cries*
Angels
I like Anna. I understand her reasons. I don't agree with her but she has been an interesting character since the first time we have seen her. She told us a little bit more about how the angel word works.
I love that angels are not all on the same wavelenght.
I guess there are very big problems in Heaven. They are without a leadership, they have a war to fight and they are trying to find their own way out.
I find interesting that angels are more powerful than demons and that at the end the war it's all about them. Angel vs angel.
I loved the interaction between her and Castiel. They are both two experienced angels but they havekinda switched places. Castiel is now more human than Anna is. He is the rejected angel, the one who's willing to disobey.
I like where Castiel is now. There's been a lot of off screen stuff. I am sorry they haven't showed us how Castiel has changed his mind on Sam. How he became closer to him to the point to call him his friend.
I am happy he did but I would have loved to see more of this relationship.
Now since I know some people dont like the idea that Sam and Cas are friends, I don't think this can in any way diminish Cas and Dean relationship. They have a strong one and they can relate on many levels. Point is, in this season, we are not seeing it much.
From my point of view, in this season we haven't seen a lot about any relationship, not just Dean and Cas.
They have been pretty shallow about rl until now. I don't know why but it's how I feel about the interaction between the characters. Maybe it's because everyone is too involved with the Apocalypse than to bring up angst and personal issues, but this doesn't match with the amount of useless episodes we have had so far.
Anyway, I am not complaining, I am just saying what, for me, doesn't work in this season.
On emore thing: I am just happy to have Castiel back, because I think they can find him a role in the story. Just don't screw up with him, ok?
The boys and their parents.
I really loved how they have characterized the Winchesters.
It was heartbreaking seeing Dean wishing so much to get back to change things. It tells us how much desperate he is. I think Dean knew he couldn't change anything, but he had to try, to save his family and the world. No Winchesters, no Apocalypse.
Dean being protective!Dean again, of all his family because that's what counts for Dean Winchester. His family. It has always been about it. So if he has the possibility to stop it, he tries, no matter how much it costs.
But...Dean Winchester is also a hunter, a realistic one. There are the world to save, so it doesn't matter if the price is not to be born. It's "Saving people, hunting things, the family business" added to the fact that he is tired and they are cursed.
I really liked that Sam was the one to suggest Mary had to leave. I still have a lot of problems with how they are writing him, but I liked how he was characterized in this episode.
The talk he had with John was painful but so good to hear. It's a step in the right direction for Sam.
I think I am in love with young!John. He was so fierce and brave. The words he said to Sam speaking of his father, made me sad. I wish he could have had a different destiny.
I also loved Mary. She was beautiful and strong. Her interaction with Dean was great to see again. Both John and Mary didn't want to raise their children as hunters and they tried to have a normal life. John did not know anything about the supernatural until Mary died. For four years they had a normal life with Dean, then all their dreams and hopes broke.
I am glad Michael erased the memories of what happened from John and Mary's minds. They had the chance to be happy for a while at least. They could be the lovely parents they wanted to be.
The most heartbreaking thing was to see how much love there was between Mary and John. Dean and Sam would have lived surrounded by this love. They could have been happy, but no...that was not their destiny.
Michael and Dean.
Finally Michael showed up! He might even be a little arrogant, but I do like him a lot.
Of course the first thing said to him was to fix Sam. His Sammy. So there is no free will, everything happens for a reason. It's not random. Dean and Sam are the chosen one because of the blood line, stratching back to Cain and Abel. It was in his father blood. So it was not about Mary. It was about John. That's the legacy.
This makes sense. Two brothers, one against the other. I just hope the bond the boys share, can help them, can defeat the absence of free will. I think Dean will doubt everything more than he has ever done but I am sure he is going to fight hard. He might say yes, but Michael
will not have him that easily. Even though Michael broke Dean, once again.
Dean and Sam in the motel room..."Team Free Will", "it's not funny", "I am not laughing". Can you believe this was the scene that hurt me the most? Because again, they were left with no hope. *cuddles boys*
Matt Cohen rocked. Really he nailed it. Alle the actors did a great job. Misha and Jensen always make me feel happy :)
The shallow fangirl in me says that JENSEN IS THE PRETTY!!!
