interior abandoned farmhouse – night. Close up of a demon – Dean splashes him with holy water. The demon yells for them to stop. Sam & Dean have the demon tied to a chair – Sam is close by and Dean’s interrogating the demon. Dean threatens to throw more holy water and the demon begs for him to stop saying he doesn’t know anything.
Dean forces holy water down the demon’s throat and demands to know who holds his contract. The demon screams in pain and insists he doesn’t know. Then looks at Dean and says “screw you” holds the contract. Dean gets in his face and demands again. The demon gets cocky and dares Dean to do whatever he wants – because nothing is going to equal what the demon who holds Dean’s contract is going to do to him if he tells Dean anything. Sam starts the exorcism.
Dean tries to interrogate the demon again. The demon tells them to go ahead and send him back to hell – he and his friends will be waiting for Dean to join them… Sam & Dean realize there is no way this guy is going to talk. Dean tells Sam to lock up the demon some place where he can’t hurt anyone. Sam stares at Dean and then finishes the exorcism. Dean stares at Sam – he’s angry, frustrated and worried. His time is running out and he knows it.
interior abandoned house – night. The body is gone and Sam is in there alone talking on the cell phone. We don’t know what he’s hearing, but it’s clear he thinks it’s very interesting. He asks if they ran the prints twice. Just then Dean walks back in. Sam tells whoever he’s talking to chalk it up to lab error and then hangs up.
He turns to Dean who came in all dirty and sweaty and is now cleaning himself up. Sam asks Dean if he buried the body – yup. It seems that’s the tenth guy they’ve lost during an exorcism. They’re both upset by that. Dean asks about the call. Sam refers to an article they saw in the paper. Dean wonders if it’s the story about the stripper who kills some guy with her thighs. Oh Dean….

interior hospital – victim’s room – continuous. Dean talks with the victim, a guy in his mid-30’s. The victim does. not. want. to talk about what happened . Dean pushes him – promising it’ll be just a couple of questions. The victim had his kidney stolen, he’s tired and does not want to talk with Dean. Dean asks what the last is he remembers. The last thing the victim was doing was feeding his parking meter and gets jumped from behind and then wakes up and realizes he’s strapped down on a table and is in indescribable pain. He passes out again and then wakes up screaming in a tub of ice. Dean wants to know if he remembers anything about the surgery or the room where he was held. He doesn’t really remember anything – Dean thanks him and then leaves.
interior eerie motel – day. Sam & Dean are talking. Sam is working on the laptop an Dean is eating a burger. Sam, as usual, has a theory. He’s looking at a web page that describes surgeries in the 19th century. Back then they used silk for sutures and it was a big problem because it was so easy for the patient to develop infections. The doctors did what they could to keep the infection from spreading and the favorite method was maggots because they eat the bad tissue and leave the good tissue alone. At first Dean’s a little put off by the description, then shrugs and goes back to eating his burger.
