SPN Death's Door ramblings

LJ is still having issues these days...I will catch up with your posts once I get back from Gaia's afternoon at the swimming pool:)
-In Bobby's alternate world of memories we have met Dean&Sam, Karen and Rufus. I loved the look in Bobby's eyes when Dean and Sam were talking about licorice. It was like a lovely father looking at his kids. Because it's what the boys are for him.
-OMG Dean talking about Chuck Norris...I so love this Dean.
-Back to reality...Dean and Sam expressions in the ER....so much pain.
-The music playing, Dean and Sam on the verge of tears. How devastating would be for them to lose Bobby?
I know some people think that it could be good for the boys, since Bobby is not exactly a healthy, well balanced person to be around...and I do think his life is miserable and he has made mistakes, a lot, especially with Dean, but he is Bobby. He is family. I don't want him to go.
-Interesting that the worst memory is the one to get you out.
-Oh Karen...Oh Bobby...*cuddles both*. How much pain did they go through? How much did Bobby feel guilty for what happened to Karen? He is still regretting it.
-Jim Beaver killed me in that scene with Karen and Rufus...seriously.
-Kid!DEAAAAAANNNNNNNNNN.....practicing with the double barrel???John, did you ever play
with your kid? Did you even try to give him (them) a normal day???
-I love Rufus and Bobby friendship.
-Bobby's father was a real ass...."you break everything you touch"...this is the mantra Bobby has heard growing up...talking about who is to blame for personal issues.
-OMG Jensen has the PRETTIEST angsty face EVER.
-When the man asked who was Bobby's next of kin? It was Dean to go...Their bond is special.
-"He's gonna be fine because he's always fine". Oh Dean...oh Dean....you can't take it anymore, can't you?...*hugs you and never let go*
-SHALLOW again: JENSEN has the HOTTEST angry facial expression.
-Oh Dean they were recording...be careful....
-I love Dean when he is so angry..you can see the hate and the pain repressed but all there.
-OMG OMG OMG....Dean and Sam talking about Bobby's death? These boys so need some family who takes care of them...*cries*
-"we've been through enough", so true.
-Sam is still struggling with his hallucinations...*cuddles him*
-"Yeah i know I ain't their dad". I think Bobby really considers Dean and Sam as his boys. He has seen them growing up and has seen how John did screw up with them. In this episode we are not only discovering more about Bobby's past life, but also some things about John as a father. Things that we knew already, but that now are clearly stated in the show too. My personal thought is that John has never allowed his kids to be kids. Not even for a moment. They have been raised like soldiers and sadly they are paying the highest price for their father's choices. John did try his best, he was genuinely convinced that he was doing his best, but all he did to them was not the best for them.

-Bobby did kill his own father...omg how screwed he was...how hurt and desperate he was? Talking about dysfunctional families...

-"idjits"..that little smile on Dean's face and then the flat-line
-the boys....oh my boys....I still love you so much.
-"they'll be ok without you"...maybe they will eventually but it will be a hard journey.
-Dean and Sam are Bobby's best memory...

There would be too many things to talk about in this episode and I don't have time...the family bond, the dysfunctional families, Bobby's and the boys fathers and what they did do to their kids, we could discuss the meaning of the father figure for ages a discuss Bobby and his relationship with the boys too. A relationship where sometimes he made mistakes, he easily judged, he was hard when he shouldn't have and wasn't when he should have, but a relationship still based on a strong bond, on love.
I am glad SPN is still able to make episodes like this one. I might be emotional detached from this show after the last season, but as long as I have episodes like this, I am still happy to have SPN around...
