John did what he had to do. I don't blame him for that. Had the tables been reversed and John killed that way instead of Mary, I am more than sure that Mary would have gotten back in the hunters' life and gone after the demon that killed her husband, despite her young naive protestations of not wanting to raise her children in the life.
