How are you?

-I'm so behind with everything. I have Gaia pics to post and tons of comments to reply to. Work will be crazy for the next 3 weeks, so please be patient ok?

-Yesterday for Rome was a very intense day. First the beatification of John Paul the 2nd, then the concert for Labour day. I have to say, Rome did reac wonderfully and everything went well. Not easy at all with about 2 million people strolling through the city :)

-This morning I wake up and the first thing I heard is that OSAMA BIN LADEN was killed. I am sorry, but I won't shed a tear for him. Not a single one. Well done.

-I hope the tornados are calming down in the US.

You know it! My husband not only got Justice for the family and friends killed on 9/11 at the pentagon but it was the Navy Seals that got the job done. I'm sure his only regret was not being one of them.

hiya val!!! sounds like an exciting day in beautiful roma!! :) exciting day over here too - well, evening at least. idk why but we all figured bin laden had died from old age by now... sucks about the tornadoes, but the weather has been so weird the last few years, I'm not surprised. we even got a tornado a few months ago - hit the next town over, made one hell of a mess, luckily no one was seriously injured or killed. it probably wouldn't be a big deal in the south, but we NEVER get tornadoes here - not as long as I can remember. shoot, thats one reason I like this area is because the weather is so mild.

anyway, is it sammys bday already? idk, bad stuff usually happens to winchesters on his bday, not sure he's looking forward to it lol! ;p

I'm afraid I don't know damon - is that vampire diaries? glad you found another show you like, I finally got around to watching glee myself!

I agree on everything you said. Osama however is a gray area, for one I don't believe he's dead, I think Obama needs to be reelected, killing Osama Bin Laden is a major deal. he needed the win.

Second of all I don't believe he was behind 9/11. That is one major discussion I don't have the time for.

Now on to my personal view, I never liked the guy, and probably never will, he is an extremists Muslim who didn't care for what others thought was right. He would've still shot and killed innocent people because they dress different or speak different or even pray different.

He is no less dangerous to this world than Bush in my opinion.

I agree Osama is not the evil himself, but he used people for his own purpose and didn't care about the loss of innocent lives.

I agree also, everything it's more complicated than it seems and I am not so naive to believe that everything starts and ends with Osama. I do believe he is behind 9/11, but I also believe nothing is crystal clear about those events.

Yeah the discussion is long and complicated, stuff for another time.

Oh I agree...Bush was dangerous and he made a lot of damages. We will always agree on this.

What Osama did in some cases in unforgivable but Bush and every other American government made of normal people like you and me terrorists because they had no other option. Their countries took their basic rights away from them, gave American too many privileges. What did you think will happen? they'll either ignore, react badly and turn into another Osama bin laden or try to change their governing bodies by which they sacrifice their children to do it. Either way we paid with our own blood.

My brother just got back from Egypt, and he told me about how our family took part in the revolution. Trust me we paid a hefty price. And still America labels us as terrorists.

I understand this is a very delicate topic to discuss for you and I don't know so much of the single situations to judge or criticize.

I am not fond of what the US govs have done through the years, but I don't think the US is the enemy to fight, at least not as a Country. Not as a people. I know their imperialistic policy has caused pain and damages. I know "real politik" doesn't consider human rights, what is fair and what the people wants. I also think, btw, that the world can't be simply split in good and bad. Every government, every country has its own responsibility.

As I said, this is a very complicated topic and I am willing to talk about it with you, since you are on the other side so to speak. I'm interested in listening to your point of view, I want to know as much as possible. I am open minded enough to handle also the most unpleasant revelations.
So if you like to go on, we can do privately, via email would be the best way.

I really hope that they can stop or disperse Osama's followers too now that he is gone. That would mean the end of another great war I hope and hopefully the people in that country can live in peace again. It will be a big task however... But the first big win is there.
