S3 DVD review:

Once again, Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles did a wonderful job in the main
roles. Their characters were much more nuanced this season, and both of them
had scenes that were much more difficult to pull off than what they did
previously. Both rose to the challenge remarkably. Much of the show's success
is due to the wonderful chemistry these two actors have. After watching a
couple of shows you'd swear that they were real brothers.

Like all of last year's TV series, this one was cut short by the writer's
strike. That means there's only 16 episodes, but all of them were very good.
The last installment felt rather rushed, but it did wrap up this season's
storyline and leave a lot of room for more stories.

This show keeps getting better and better. I have to say that this is my
favorite season so far. The stakes are higher, the battles more intense, and
the characters grow in unexpected ways. The fourth season starts in only a few
weeks, as I write this, and having plowed through these episodes in record time
I can't wait to see what happens next. It looks as if I'm going to *gasp*
actually watch season four as it airs instead of waiting for the DVDs like I
usually do. This season comes Highly Recommended.

Let's say that from the sides I am a little worried about how Dean is now...I don't like role reversal too much. I don't want Dean to be too much different from the one we know.

But I have faith :)

Thanx for explaining and it sounds interesting - where did you get that? I didn't see it in sides... i didn't notice Dean very different (says i didn't notice him being different at all cos we didn't get any long sides with him). The only sides where he sounds not like Dean we used to know it's for Phoabia and there it's all logicak cos he's under some spell or sick with something. Other than that... never noticed anything 'not Dean' (imho).
Also i don't think there'll be huge reversal thing (only as some 'crazy' fans assume Dean can go to dark side instead of Sam and it depends but i somehow like this idea). Anyway i think i don't fully understand what do you mean by 'different' and 'reversal'. Can you explain it for me more? Please> :)
Oh, and of course we have to see first cos you know how they release those sides :) Often they're not the same as they written.

That's the point. He's not in the sides much. This makes me wonder why?

1-because they don't want us to know much about how Dean is now?

or

2-are they going to change Dean to the point that he won't be the hunter we know anymore?

I don't want to see Dean as the weak one and Sam as the strong one. I want both the boys to have their weak moments. I want the characters to have different nuances. This would keep the balance in the show, otherwise the brotherly dynamics would be spoiled imo.

I don't want Dean to become evil. I totally hate this idea. It would be a real betrayl of his character and would make every thing he had sacrificed in his life, his life included, vain.

It would be cruel and unfair for Dean.

He's not in the sides much
Oh, i see it now! The thing is sides release for new characters - to cast actors and that they can read something from those characters. Dean is well-known character and they don't release sides for him - we can see part here and there only cos they in the same page with characters they want to cast. that's why he's not much there (at least it's what i think).
And i think they don't change brotherly dynamics mych. Trying to write Dean in mytharic can work even better - he get his' own part in the big story and i'm dying to know what it'll be.
I love brother's weak moments too cos it makes them humans more and i think the writers know this too. Dean def must have his weak moments cos of hell's flashes but i think Sam will have them too cos of things he did w/o Dean (and we know he failed to get Dean out of heel - complex of guilt must be his side now).

I know, i said it was crazy idea! But i didn't mean Dean become evil to do bad things - i mean Dean to destine to be bad somehow but Dean fighting it and winning - that was general idea :) But again - it was crazy :)

But they release a lot with Sam, so another question: is he having the major intercation with the other characters?

This time I want to see the guilt complex. I'm pretty much sick with Sam who's not able to show how he feels and not able to tell his brother how much he maens for him.

You mean Sam? I think they'll be equal there (i mean both brothers). But now as we see from sides there'll some characters related to Dean not to Dean through Sam (Castiel foe example) so it works for me even better :)

Oh, i want to see it too. I think first we'll see not much glimpses maybe (and i hope Jared will make it to see believable) but then in the missle of the season they want to reveal more about Sam and his time w/o Dean - that's when i expect to know more about guilt and what he was trying to do with it. I can be wrong and maybe we'll see it earlier - but it's good for me too :)
