-SPM MEDIA posted three more promo pics from S1, here.

-Jensen won't be in Dallas due to his work schedule. It's the first time he has to cancel a convention. I hope fans will be as much understanding as they were with Jared, who has cancelled few more times. If not, well, it will speak a lot about this fandom.

Now let's move on to the episode :)

Reviewing while watching, so won't be very coherent ;)

Highlights
-Jensen Ackles. He rocks. He nailed Dean's feeling just with few, subtle change in his voice and in his expressions. Awesome actor.

-Jared, can you please play Sam always like you have been doing in this season? Because I'm really enjoying it.

-holy water and interrogation. Angry!Dean is always a good thing to see.

-Dean&Sam with the doctor in the morgue and all their attitude about the job. Still so focused on it.

-I like Jared's hair more when he wears a suit.

-Bobby!!!

-"chasing immortality"

-Dean reminded him he would die

-"Sammy be careful", "you too" and the music, their faces..*cries*

-Dean with Rufus, interesting character. Interesting things he said. Dean knows how to connect with men like him.

-Sam hunting on his own.

-Bela&Dean..."don't move". He is not kidding, but still I felt sorry for Bela. I still think she could have been a nice add for the story but again, they didn't give a character a chance.

-Sammy! Oh Sam...again...

-Dean to the rescue. Smart smart boy.

-Bela and the demons, the deal has come due...

The boys
Dean doesn't hide his fear anymore. When the demon told him the others would have been happy to have Dean in Hell and to have revenge, well his expression was so meaningful. He knows it it will be awful and he is scared.
But I see the separation going on between the brothers.
Some time ago, I said Dean was preparing himself to die. He was detaching from his life. Now that he is close to his death, he is obviously less cold and indifferent to his fate. Sam, on the contrary, is more detached now.
He is colder, more rational. He tries everything to save Dean but somehow he manages not to lose it. To wear a mask, even if he is dying inside.
His idea of turning Dean in something immortal was simply crazy, he tricked Dean to get him there with him and he did want to try, even though Dean was about to leave.
It's good, because following two different tracks gives them more chances to find a solution, but all the secrets they have taken from each other, the wall they have built, are emotionally separating them.
I have an idea about this. Dean is the big brother. Dean has always been Sam's rock. Sam has always known Dean was there. Now he knows Dean is leaving. He will be alone, just like Dean if Sam died last season.
But Dean was used to be the protector, the one who solved the problems, Sam's shield. Sam had to learn to be all this quickly and Dean certainly didn't help him.
That's why, imo, in front of the death of one of them, their relationship has been affected in two different ways.

Last note. Sam wanted Dean to use the formula, Dean didn't because of all the things, he doesn't want to become a monster. He wants to stay human.
In order to follow his strong belief, he's willing to die. It's true, he will become a demon, but until he won't go to Hell, there is still hope. Dean can't choose to become a monster, as he would have done accepting the doctor's help. He will become only because forced and maybe, well maybe he could still save his humanity.
Despite all his flaws, this is enough for me to consider Dean Winchester a real hero.

This was awesome-I loved it! But so very sad too. I see the separation as well. And I am nervous about that. So we'll see how this plays out I guess? I was stunned by the idea of Bela making a deal with the CRD-I just never saw that one coming! Color me shocked-lol. But now that I think back on it? The first time Dean and Bela squared off-she told him upfront she knew she was going to hell. I never even put 2 and 2 together until now. Oops? But very interesting! And she should have asked for help-but then after doing everything prior to stealing the colt I guess she felt she couldn't-burned her bridges so to speak. Sadly-they would have helped her out had she asked. I am dreading next week's-after seeing the preview tonight I am just gutted ;-(
