Jensen and Dean.
Apr. 21st, 2008 03:50 pmFrom the CTV Interview with Jensen.
No wonder I love Jensen and Dean so much :DDD
Interviewer :
Do you relate to him in any way personally off-set? You've been doing him for so long, does he seep into you?
Jensen :
He has...I'd say in the beginning I kinda like used a little bit of myself to kind of figure out what to do. But as time was progressing, episode after episode, he's definitely taken on a character of himself, and he's definitely a character that I play. I'd say that the best thing about playing him so much is not that I personally start becoming him. I think it's just the opposite, I think there's a separation that happens. But the fact that you play him so often, it's so easy to slide into that character and use those crutches that you used and use those little idiosyncrasies that make him who he is. It's fun when you come up with stuff that you add and then you see it on screen, you're like "ok that's something that I wouldn't personally do, but it works so well for this guy, so I'm going to continue to use that." And I think the more you do it, the more you find those little things and you can just keep collaborating with yourself and finding him.
