Well, sam was scared to lose control but imo not to lose Dean again (otherwise he wou;dn't want to leave hunting leaving his brother with no support), he freaked out cause suddenly it turned out Dean has a life sam knows nothing about - friends he never met, cases he doesn't know. Sam is a control freak and now he's a jealous control freak. He'll do anything to keep Dean under his control. And i'm so glad Dean doesn't give a shit and is on Benny's side. I wish the ep had less sam's stupid flashbacks cause they were boring and showed sam in even worse light. But OMG! Purgatory flashbacks!!!!! That was the reason for me to watch and i was happy to see my happy trio fiding their footing! I wish they'd make the whole season about Purgatory adventuries!!!
