He did a good thing after Elena hurt him that way and he just got those looks of disapproval...Damon doesn't deserve this. He's been the good guy, the better man for so long and still everyone can't help but judge him. Can we please at least try to be so hard on Stefan and for example Klaus? I don't think their list of horrible things done is less long than Damon's one...

-Damon and Rebekah...here we go. GUUUUUUUHHHHHH! DAMON SALVATORE MAKING OUT IS ONE OF THE HOTTEST THING EVER!!!!!!!!! Gotta say the last scene kinda saved my mood...
Ok let's try to focus on the very important things of this episode.
-The Original Family.
I dislike Esther. I don't agree with her plan. Her children are an abomination but at this point all vampires are and she should kill them all. Actually witches are too and werevolwes...so want to kill them all Esther? I don't think so. Plus, these children are persons now and they can learn how to live without harming anyone. It would be hard, but possible. She was the one who screwed up with things and now she can't just kill them all.
It's interesting to see how Finn looks like the only one Esther trusts enough to share her terrible plan. I am pretty sure that Elijah will realize soon that something is wrong.
That being said, I don't want the Originals to take Mystic Falls and the storyline over. TVD is not about them, so if this is how the writers have decided to kill them off, I am ok with it. I am not attached to an Original in particular, I find their story interesting, but I want the show to focus on its real main characters.
-Elena.
I have never been too hard on her because I get that she's just a teen ager grown up too fast, living a life that none would like to live...but after this episode I realized how much Damon was right saying that she had a lot of things in common with Katherine.
Elena is a liar. She lied pretty much to everyone in this show. It was painful for me to see her lying to Elijah...she might be right and it can be for a great cause, but I didn't like how quickly she decided to trust Esther.
She is manipulative. She uses her power on Damon and Stefan to get what she thinks it's right. She hurt Damon like none would have and I honestly think she has not the right to be mad at him. I just hope not to see Elena lecturing Damon in the next few episodes, because at this point she has no right to...her response to Damon saying "I love you" was cruel in its simplicity and even if she was clearly referring to Damon's judgment capacity, it came out wrong and and she hurt Damon.
Elena lives in denial. She proved it again when she talked to Stefan.Ready to forgive him for everything he did. All mushy and teary eyed. Now I get it, she loves him and it's ok but come on...a little bit less biased?
It's her characterization that gave me a headache in this episode and not because D/E didn't succeed (as I said I ship Damon with everyone who makes him happy, so if Elena doesn't, he'd rather forget her in my book), but because it was controversial.
That being said, I still love Elena because she is that 18 years old teenager that lives a life none would like to live. Plus she was horrified when Stefan "killed" Damon and she was not happy about what she did to Damon, as she told him.
Last but not least, she didn't know about Kol's plan to kill Matt, so the only thing she saw was Damon reacting badly...this excuses her but at the same time doesn't, because she should have given Damon the benfit of doubt. She should have asked for some explanation.
Anyway I liked how Elena is becoming tougher and more indipendent and dark, if you want. Elena is becoming a multy dimensional character whose journey I am willing to enjoy.
-Stefan
I don't have much to say about him...I liked that Stefan finally admitted that he feels. Everything he feels is pain...yeah exactly like his brother. He pushed his brother so hard because he wanted Damon to feel and now he is running away from his feelings because he doesn't want to suffer. I get it, their pain can destroy them and they are scared but runnig away? Stefan has to start the healing process and would be nice for him to have someone that would not betray him at the end of the day.
-Klaus/Caroline.
I think Caroline was right when she told Klaus why he doesn't connect with people. I am glad that the writers are not speeding up the relationship between them, it would have been OOC...but my heart ached when Klaus was rejected again...
-Damon/Elena
They have messed up with it too fast imo. I don't care who Damon is with, I care about Damon being happy and right now is not and so I am not either. What Elena did to Damon was awful...she did to Damon exactly what she has always blamed in Katherine,she toyed with him. She wanted to go to see Esther and she did not care about Damon's feeling. She regretted her words the moment she said them, but it was too late. After having his neck broken, she should have apologized...Damon might not have wanted to let her go to see Esther and there might not have been much time to convince him, but he did deserve an explanation. She should have tried to talk to her "sexless" boyfriend. Damon would have forgiven her for the betrayl, but her words hit him hard and she should have known. The moment he ran away, she should have followed him because she knew how much hurt he was. That was the most annoying thing for me. That she didn't do anything...
I think now he's going to back away from Elena...because he knows his feelings can be a liability and can prevent him to think straight. IMO Damon should have decided on his own to step back, but yes maybe he would have never done it because Damon needs to be pushed, being selfish as he is when it comes to his love for Elena. Selfish in wanting to protect her no matter what.
Anyway I am positive. This will be a fresh start for all of them.
-Damon/Stefan
He said Damon cares too much and this might be the problem. How ironic is it? He spent two seasons trying to get his brother back to feel and now? He should know that if he brothers feels, he feels intensely. The only thing which saved Stefan for me it's that he is playing a role and that he didn't mean it. He was truly worried for his brother. I think they can start to heal their bond from here.
-Damon
Oh baby I am so proud of you! Elena broke your heart and the first thing you did was saving Matt. You rock, awesome! Then you had sex with Rebekah and I loved you even more for this.
The thing with inlove!Damon is that he forgets about himself, about what he needs, about what he wants. He has spent months just taking care of Elena without asking for nothing so I really can't blame him because he decided to have fun for one night.
He has grown up so much, he is not going back to his old careless time....Elena's wrong, Damon was not self destructive (and if she thinks so, this means she doesn't know Damon at all), Damon was just, for once, allowing himself not to care much, not to feel that he was heartbroken again. Because he was heartbroken and hurt as he as always been in all his life....then I wonder why he did have to fall in love always with girls who don't love him enough. Damon has some serious issues that should be explored.
That being said, I hated that he came out as the bad guy again.
Stefan didn't have the right to tell him that he doesn't let Elena make her own decisions (oh yes Stefan because you are not manipulative or overprotective or worst thing ever in a relationship a LIAR!), Elena didn't have the right to do what she did, Stefan called him crazy...and now they are going to be pissed at him?
No Damon is not the bad guy, some self-examination on everyone's part would be nice to see.
Last thing, I want a mirror scene from Bad Moon Rising with Elena asking for Damon forgiveness (better after he saves her life once again and he saying that he wouldn’t let her die), but then he says “You have lost me forever.” I can't help, I am a sucker for the angst!
