When Damon said "I didn't do it on your account", what did he mean in your opinion?
I think it could have been about the incoming call (meaning I didn't pick up because I want to distance myself from Elena but not because you want it, but because I think it's right) or it could be about Damon saving Stefan and again it would only show how much unable they are to talk about their bond and love for each other.
