I wish I could love Sam as much as I love Stefan. I wish Dean and Sam would stop and consider how the Salvatore brothers deal with their own issues
I wish the producing of SPN wasn't based so much on petty BTS issues and fangirling bias, because, yeah, they sure could take a lesson from the way the Salvatore relationship is written, and especially the way Stefan is written and presented. Sam would be a LOT better character if he were written half as good or as interesting as Stefan.
Were there spoilers about Jeremy being written out in the second half of the season - I was completely taken by surprise with this maneuver. That must have been why they immediately started distancing Jeremy and Bonnie from the get-go this year. Producer decision or the actor's? I'm not sure how I feel about this turn of events yet.
Overall, though, such a good episode, especially the interaction between the Salvatores. And, yes, the kiss was nice - though I wish we'd get more initiation from Elena for a change. Tina Charles from TVG made that astute observation - we all know how Damon feels, but it's time to start seeing that Elena is feeling the same, or getting there.
I don't think Stefan would be upset at this turn of events since I'm not even convinced anymore that Stefan and Elena are getting back together, even if Stefan lets his humanity back in. Besides, he knows Damon's feelings for her - everyone does. This is not news, and he has to know that Elena ain't waiting around for him forever. He's told her as much countless times to move on. Besides, right now, as Elena so aptly pointed out, it's "a Klaus/Stefan problem" for Stefan. Stefan is wholly focused on getting revenge on Klaus, which is awesome and fascinating to see.
Mrs. Paul Wesley sure is cute - I'm looking forward to seeing how the relationship between the doc and Alaric progresses. I just hope it doesn't impinge on the Damon/Alaric bromance! ;)
I was liking Tyler, finally, up until this episode. I mean, I know it's not supposed to be his fault that he's so utterly "sired" to Klaus, but he'd better start sacking up and trying to fight it, otherwise I'll be back to hating on him again.
A very good start to the second half of the season. I can't wait for this season to hit dvd! I want to own it! :D
