HAPPY JUS IN BELLO CON!!!
So this is the episode where the boys die and go to Heaven. It was a good episode imo. Lots of things were said and finally we are into the storyline. I don't know about you, but this episode was all about the brotherly bond and about where the boys are now with their relationship. What the angels, God, Lucifer want and what we learned from Joshua, well everytrhing told me more about the boys. The mytharc was not the focus for me, even though I think they handled it pretty well. So I am happy with this episode because they gave me both the things I want fromthis show.
Now some points:
-I liked how brave Dean was facing his own death. I guess he wants to die for real, being tired of the life he lives now.
-Dean's and Sam'smemories.
I so see big issues between the boys because of their own memories.
Even though it's evident Zacharia was manipulating them in order to pull them apart, the memories are theirs so I'm sorry Sam didn't have one of his family because everything about his family was painful to remember. He has always felt as the outcast in his family, so it's not weird he was looking for something else.
I am sorry he didn't have any memories of him and Dean together.
He'd rather remember a thanksgiving with a strange family than just one single memory with his brother.
So what does it mean? I thought about After School Special...since that episode I truly believed Sam thought of Dean as a burden, not only as his brother. He loves Dean, he really does but Dean is coupled with his growth and it was painful for Sam. He tried to explain it to Dean but for his big brother is not something acceptable. Not yet. In this Heaven Dean has finally realized that he was not everyhthing for Sam. That Sam truly wanted something else for himself.
As much as it stings, Dean has to come to terms with it and move on. I mean Dean has to give up on "Dean&sam" as he knows it. He needs to understand that Sam doesn't love him any less just because his family wasn't part of his memories or because Sam doesn't consider Dean in the past as he considers him now. Dean has to understand they can be brothers again and that from this moment their relationship can be healthier.
Sam has to understand Dean as well. What he told Dean after the scene with Mary, it's a first step.
"I have just never realized how long you have been cleaning up that mess". Yeah Sam never did and this brought him to misunderstand lots of the things Dean done and felt.
This episode told me how much Dean and Sam are different and how much they haven't spent enough time to fully understand the other's reasons.
I might not like what Sam does sometimes, but honestly I don think we can't be mad at these boys because they are trying hard not to fail each other.
-It was so painful to see Sam calling hs mother and Dean begging for a minute. Dean with his mother always breaks me.
-Ash, as much as I am not a huge fan of him, I was happy to see an old face around :)
-I love Zacharia, how he plays with the boys, how he manipulates them in order to make them say "yes".
-Pamela was good to see again and I loved her interaction with Dean. Also their conversation was interesting. I have mixed feelings about what is real and what is not but she had some interesting points.
-That KISS!! HOT!!! Can I have more?
-Mary was cruel with Dean, well the YED was or Zacharia..whatever... No no no!!! It's no Dean's fault people leave him. He is scared it's his fault but it is not. Oh I loved that Sam was so worried for what they were doing with his brother.
-I loved Joshua.
-God wants to back off. God gave up. If God has finished, why should the boys go on? I loved loved that Joshua finally pointed out what's Dean's biggest issue is right now: losing faith in everything and everyone, God, himself, Sam. Until Dean won't understand he has to believe in himself, he won't be able to fight. Now, with God backing off and Castiel destroyed, Dean is alone. Will be able to find the road?
-Castiel....awwww.....*hugs him tight*. He lost everything, everything and with his faith gone, he destroyed Dean's last hope. It has to be so hard for Castiel. An angel who feels betrayed by God.
-What does it mean when Dean dropped the amulet?
Imo two things: the negative one is that he has no hope left and that he wants to give up because everything he has always believed in is crumbling at the moment.
Anyway it could mean a fresh start; I am pretty sure Dean will think about Sam's "find another way, you and me" words and start the healing process. I have faith in Dean and I have to say, after this episode, I have faith in Sam too. I am sure they will find another way together. Yep I think this is what they are telling us and to the boys: they have to fight TOGETHER.
-Dean, Sam and Castiel. I felt so sorry for each one of them in this episode. For different reasons and honestly, I don't care about screen-time, underusing, expectations, I just love this show because it makes me feel for the characters. At the moment it's enough for me, even though, rationalizing, I could write down at least five things that are disappointing me in this season :)
-As always: JENSEN WAS SO SO SO PRETTY!!!
