HAPPY WEEKEND FLIST!!!
There are so many connections between this episode and some others.
-Some people are saying that this episode has been for Sam what WIAWSNB was for Dean. I agree to some extent.
First of all this episode didn't have the intensity and the strenght of WIAWSNB, so it can't be really compared to that one.
Second, in WIAWSNB Dean was dreaming about the life he wished for in that moment of his life. But it wasn't real. It was a projection of his mind and desires.
In Mystery Spot Sam actually lived three months without Dean. He felt for real what it meant and, first and foremost, he didn't want that life. It wasn't something he was wishing for. It was probably the worst nightmare Sam could have had in all his life.
So Dean hoped for the life he lived in WIAWSNB, but it was only a dream, while Sam fought not to live the life he had at the end of MS but he actually lived it and he was changed by it.
-Croatoan...Sam was tested there, Sam is tested now. Tested to see how he would live without Dean and tested to see what he would become.
-DALDOM and MS: these two are most alike imo. Dean and Sam both knows now how they could become if the deal wasn't broken.
Both now want to fight to break it. Both have found some inner, stronger motivations.
-AHBL2 and MS. Dean had to sell his soul to save Sam and Sam had just to ask for having his brother back? This is so totally unfair. Why did Dean have to pay a so much higher price? Is Sam going to lose his humanity because of those 3 months lived without Dean? The answer is probbaly yes, but it's the same for Dean, isn't it?
Then it can't be that easy to save Dean from the trickster and almost impossible to save him from the deal. I mean it makes sense considering that those are demons, but you can't play with Dean's life like this. I don't think they can take away things from Dean like they are doing, hidding every thing that is about him. The point is not if it was real or not, Sam remembers, Sam knows how he felt, Sam knows it's dangerous.
No way this thing can't go without long term coincidence. Deam must know the truth, because even if Sam is the only one to remember, he does remember and he is affected by what he had been through.
So Dean must know.
And Dean has to tell Sam what he dreamed of.
