I sort of agree with you, however; I do believe the fandom is to blame for the lack of Castiel. (those who are against him)

I don't care for the guy, but it doesn't bother me when he is on screen as long as he is given something useful to do... Otherwise he gets called Useless. LOL

See- The writers, and Eric were all for Castiel this season, but the out spoken half of the fandom. The ones who worry Castiel takes screen time away from Sam or that Sam suffers. Or that Dean and Sam suffer from Castiel, once again got their way... They don't want Castiel in the show... So Eric has started to remove him and not use him as much... (make sense?)

As for Lucifer well we had more of him than Michael so far.. We've gotten his connection with Sam and inside his head...

It's time to see Michael.

The problem with Supernatural is Eric listens to much to the loud minority... He needs to just tell the fandom to F off and tell his story...

As for the comedy this year; I've said it before and I will say it again. Most likely it has to do with the CW not wanting a dreary Apocalypse.. Because Eric did say the network wasn't thrilled they went there. So in order to be able to do it, they, had to compromise...

So between the network and the fandom, SPN has fallen victim to it's own success.

*sighs*
