In these days of vacation, I ahve found some time to watch the Vampire Diaries. I am a sucker for vampires so I decide to give it a try. I am finishing S1. I'm still on the fence on the concept of the show, but I find it entertaining. I already like or dislikesome characters (for example I don't like Elena, while I like Bonnie).
The main characters: two brothers, again :)
This leads me straight to Dean and Sam. I ahve always wondered when I became a Dean!girl. I mean, being a Jensen fan, I could have been biased. I think I wasn't. There was a moment that turned me into a Dean!girl. In the Pilot, the bridge scene, when I saw behind Dean's mask and felt how much messed up and complicated he was. That scene is THE SCENE for me.
So it was the character and not the actor to turn me into a Dean lover.
Back to TVD: am I a Stefan or Damon girl? Actually I am not that much into the show to claim to be a someone!girl. I am not particularly fond of Paul Wesley or Ian Somerhalder. They are both good looking guys and decent actors and if I had to choose, I'd pick up Somerhalder (even if I think that he is a little bit overrated).
Now considering that Damon is complicated, the bad guy, the hot one, the rejected, the badass with a inner secret and some good in him that none sees and that Somerhalder is the actor I like the most there, I should side with him. I do, but Stefan has something more intriguing for me. Weird, considering that Damon is more like Dean than Stefan could ever be, but I guess it's because Dean Winchester is Dean Winchester and there's no other character around that makes my heart feel so many intense feelings as Dean does. So I guess, I see Damon as a faded, less compelling version of Dean (PLUS, DEAN IS GOOD, DAMON IS NOT) and that's why Stefan gives me something more.
So far. I might change my mind eventually :)
