Re: Part 2

And his grounding presence throughout this episode was great I think.
I agree. It's his being so supportive of his friends even though he could just leave and send them all to hell, just so he can have a fresh start and a happy life...but no, he stays and he's there for everyone and mostly he is not judgey at all.

And Damon, oh Damon. While Ric has been a dick to him, I still loved their last scene together and the implications of more time spent together then we got to see and how well they actually know each other.
*cries hard*
Seriuosly I can't even talk about this....I so much agree with you btw.

I'll be watching that scene over and over again, I know.
Me too.
*clings*

Also, I'm glad Damon knew Elena asked Stefan to be her escort to the dance and didn't find out some other way, as awful as it was how he learned it. He is doing exactly what he told Elena he would do: he's not lashing out and its all on Elena to make a choice.
I am so proud of our babe...he deserves so much more than being stuck in a love triangle. I wish he could realize it.

I also rather enjoyed how Meredith, despite not caring for her too much as she hasn't been developed enough yet, spoke to Damon and how she listened and urged him to go join Ric.
You know I actually felt something for her and it was such a good felling. I agree, it should have been Elena..but Elena was not ready to gice comfort to anyone. Not even to herself. She looked as a ascred, lost, lonely child.

It also seems Damon is cementing his position as the resident Cassandra nobody listens to then blames after everything goes kaput like Dean. My poor guys!
That's why we love them so much. People should just use their brains and listen to Damon and Dean when they speak.

Question: when did Elena turn into such a victim and become so stupid?
I think it's the whole triangle that is killing her.

Since then its like she's just been foolish, impulsive, and often cruel/manipulative (not intentionally some of the time) to those around her, especially Damon.
I think it's because she is scared..like really really scared.
Not expecting much from her btw...I still think Damon is the best written character of the whole show.
