Even if I have mixed feelings about this day, because I really don't think we need to be celebrated one day per year (it sounds like discriminatory to me), I am really grateful for everything women have done through the years so as we have the rights we have now.

A long road has to be made yet and women are still strongly discriminated, even in our western and modern countries, but if we have freedom of speech, right to vote, control births laws, is because we have never stopped fighting to defend our dignity.

So yeah, I am proud to be a woman.

No. we wait that his boyfriend update. For the moment it is near of him at the hospital. It will update when it can i hope. The post locked friends i asked at his boyfriend if it want to make it public. But as it's very personal i dont know. PM maybe. We can that pray and hope.

They are both home, one of them has to have surgery but it looks like it's not very serious. Thanks for asking sweetie.

Thanks for posting this, sweetie. I, too, am grateful all the efforts of women before me for the rights I now enjoy. I do believe that sadly, there is still a need to celebrate women 1 day a year but hope that in the future that will change.

I am proud to be a woman and support women everywhere trying to eliminate discrimination.

Yeah - why don't we have a Men's Day? Poor fellas...some really good guys out there get the shit end of the stick sometimes. They need a day, too: Goody Guys Who Do No Wrong Day. Yeah, *nods*
