TVD OUR TOWN: This show keeps getting better and better. I might be also liking Doctor WHO.
Any episode that starts with Damon in the shower is a damn good episode.

and I think I might ship these two:

source
-I really like the opposite reactions Elena and Damon had to what did happen.
-Damon is so really good at being bad...I have missed some badass!Damon ;)
-*cuddles Bonnie*. Must be so hard for her.
-Could be the original witch in the fourth coffin?
-Damon talking to the spirits, hilarious!
-I can't help, I adore the way Ian delivers the word "Stefan"...
-Is Stefan aware of what is herisking? Is he bluffing himself or is he willing to risk the life of the people he loves the most to have his revenge? Is he trying to protect everyone in his own way..which means sacrificing himself?
-I am not going to talk much about Jeremy compulsion. Do I like it? No and Elena was wrong, period. That being said, I think that Jeremy must leave and wanted to leave but really couldn't without his sister going with him and the whole point is that Elena couln't be with him. As long as she will be around him, he won't be safe. Jeremy would have never accepted it, that's why I think Elena felt like she had to compel him.
-Oh Caroline...*hugs you*
-"Friends don't strip friends of their free will". The show keeps pointing out that compulsion is not a good thing. For me, compulsion is part of what defines a vampire and I am not bothered much by it. I might not like the use of it sometimes, but it's like asking them to deny who they are. If compulsion is used by a human, well there I can see the moral issue...but honestly in a situation where everyone is just trying to survive, I think making wrong decisions to save people life, might be accetable. Asking for coherence and morality is licit, not accomplishing it is totally justifiable. They are, after all, human beings. I have to say that what some people don't like in some characterizations, is exactly what I like the most. I don't want a character that is always the same as itself. I want a character who evolves and adjusts to what happens, a character who acts and reacts and that sometimes goes dark and regrets it, but is aware of the reasons behind his actions.
-Klaus and Stefan: are they trading their own brothers life?
-As much as this Stefan rocks and I like him, he really scares me sometimes. I don't know how far he is willing to go.
-I just love how Caroline deals with her own condition...she is so much stronger than she looks.
-I felt for Tyler for the first time in such a long time...we are all talking about how unfair was having Jeremy compelled, but what about Tyler? He's been sired and now compelled. Sadly he is not even aware of it...
-Damon and Ric!!!! Humanity dimmer switch and small list. They love each other, they do *grins*
-Anyway I seriously don't get Ric attitude. I mean I get it, but he knows they are vampires. He knows they can care about some people and not caring about others. It's not something that happens to vampires only. We, as humans, are ready to protect our beloved ones and be pretty indifferent to the death of an unknown person...or we can even be relieved if someone dies...so yeah...double moral standard much? Humans are good, vamps are not? This is so hypocrite, yet understandable.
-I liked Elena speech in the tomb. It was so true.
-Was Damon a little uncomfortable when Ric asked him about Elena?
-Loved the interaction between Damon, Carol and Klaus. So many twists in this show. Not to mention that Damon and Klaus have to interact more because Ian and Joseph have a pretty good chemistry going on between them.
-Klaus is the most manipulative villain I have seen in a while...he got a whole town ready to kill Stefan. So how many things has Damon to take care of?
-Ouch..Bonnie wasn't exactly soft on Elena.
-Liz and Damon!
-Looks like Meredith has something to hide. I wouldn't trust her...
-"What are you doing?" Saving your life, Stefan. Damon is saving your life since everyone wants you dead. Sorry Stefan, I love you tons, but Damon is totally right. Stefan is wrong, he can't even see the consenquences of his actions. There was so much going on in that scene, so many subtle things...about humanity, free will, Elena, brotherly bond. That scene was intense and powerful and it pointed out how Stefan is unwilling to listen to anyone. It's a shame to see Stefan giving up to everything like that. To sacrifice everything because he thinks he has nothing more left.
-Tyler bit Caroline...*sighs*
-"I know my brother better than anyone..." the acknowledgement that Damon doesn't have a clue about Stefan intentions must be destabilazing for him. I loved that he went straight to Klaus and was so resolute.
-Oh Stefan, so the facade is crumbling. He feels, he's lost and as Damon said, he is willing to do everything to kill Klaus. He has done to Elena the most terrible thing, bringing her to the WICKERY BRIDGE. Where she almost died. Where her parents died. Where he saved her. Stefan wants to revenge so much that he doesn't allow himself to care, but Stefan wants to be hated so that the others can let him go.
The one thing he is not willing to do, is getting back and fight for his old life. Stefan might think that he doesn't deserve his life anymore, but he is not even trying. He'd rather destroy himself than try to live. He is so broken and I think scared of the consequences.
-One more thing about Stefan: he risked too much, he couldn't be sure 100% that Klaus would have backed off...he is over the edge.
-Klaus has already the Council on his side. Now Liz.
-The scene between Caroline and Klaus was touching. If only Klaus left his humanity slipping in a little more, if only he wasn't so scared of it...hmmm have I told you that I might start shipping these two?
-And finally...Elena and Damon on the porch. Damon being proud of his lil bro? *melts*...Damon worried about Elena..*melts again*
-What does that scene mean for their relationship? IMHO it means that both are aware of their mutual feelings. Elena didn't say "I don't want", she said "I can't" because it's not right and she is right...it has to be about the two of them. It has to be because she loves him and not because Stefan doesn't want her anymore. Damon can't be her second choice. She is confused, but she knows her feelings for Damon are getting stronger. And Damon? I think he is happy with how the things are now, because he knows there is hope, because he knows that if it has to be, it will because Elena has chosen him over Stefan. Because he will be her first choice. Something good is happening in his life and Damon is not going to screw up with it.
-The scene with Matt was made of awesome. Two friends, who are letting go their past trying to start a new life.
-Damon last look...*thud*
A great episode, were a lot of things happened, a lot were told and more were just there, almost whispered.
Can't wait for next week.
-Started to watch Doctor Who on Rai 4. It's S6. I saw the first two seasons some years ago but this one has kinda hooked me up...Mandy are you happy?
-HAPPY SPN DAY!!!! OMG TONIGHT JENSEN WILL KILL US ALL!!!
Catching up with you flist!!!

That's how I felt about that scene. The writers will break our hearts again this season, only this time they're going to cut us to pieces.

Yep I know the feeling.

It was funny in the beginning when Damon comes out of the shower and is all whistling and chipper and Stefan asks him why he is so cheery. Well, Stefan it's because Damon finally let his feelings known to Elena and he kissed her and he is happy that he finally did that, and she didn't reject him, she kissed back, so there is hope. Not that Damon will be telling Stefan that anytime soon, but I just kinda of chuckled with that scene and said, if only you knew Stefan, if only you knew. It will be interesting to see how that storyline all develops. Stefan has said he has let Elena go, but has he really??? I'm not sure.

And it keeps baffling me that Stefan doesn't even address the possibility. I think he has seen this coming but he just doesn't care now.
No he hasn't imho.

Hee!! I AM ECSTATIC!! Catch up with S5 real quick...the Doctors always have a theme something that follows them and this Doctor is no different. He differs from 9 and 10 in the fact he's more 'Classic based' than they are..so more bouncy, funny and scary when angered. Ohh, this was a wicked and dark season! Just...delightful! I hope you enjoy, sweetie!! *DANCES HAPPILY*
THIS HE WILL! OMG!! NEED SPN NAO!

Yes, Damon absolutely looked kinda confused when Ric asked him about Elena.
Stefan scares me but I LOVE HIM! Also, I kinda ship Stelena now. Their dynamic is fascinating, call me a psycho but I'm sucker for such angsty ships.
Caroline/Klaus best thing EVER!!!!
I have feelings for Tyler and Caroline but KLAUS OMG!
Ian and Joseph are two handsome dudes! I wanna have them both.
DELENA! I loved that moment between them! So much ♥
And Elena said VAMPIRESSS!!!
OMG! CAN NOT WAIT FOR NEXT EPISODE!

I am a sucker for agsty ships too :)

Klaus' behaviour in this episode, especially to Caroline, has me worried. He wouldn't do anything like that unless he wanted something. Caroline better watch out. Also, the bracelet was pretty.

No caroline is a vampire and him healing her was just like Klaus healing Damon. This siring thing works differentely.
I feel sorry for Tyler..poor boy.

...and when he wreaks more havoc and causes more damage, then finally is able to let it all back in - when the walls come crashing down... his grief will be epic, I predict.
-And finally...Elena and Damon on the porch. Damon being proud of his lil bro? *melts*...Damon worried about Elena..*melts again*
[Let me warn you I just woke up from a nap, and I'm generally grumpy right after] I felt like this porch scene was so awkward. Maybe she was able to fume in the car, but I would have been hella mad and extremely fuming if I was in her situation. And I really expected Damon to be more upset and less calm than he actually was, for some reason. Maybe it's because I'm shipping them, and you read my post about natural progression - but I would just hope that if Damon feels love for Elena he would be more upset that she's in more danger now with Stefan being a ticking time bomb... maybe he was just trying to stay calm.
Something good is happening in his life and Damon is not going to screw up with it.
I absolutely love that, but again [maybe it's grumpy nap Jamie talking] I feel like it's going to get screwed up. He might not be the screwer upper, but I have a feeling in my stomach something bad is bound to happen.
no subject
the fanfirl in me lives to see these things!
Your reaction about the porch scene:
I think that everything you said, happened in the missing scene when Damon went on the bridge and took Elena home.
I think she calmed down and Damon too, when he saw that Elena was not hurt.
I think Damon wasn't expecting his brother to be so cruel with Elena. I guess Damon will be more careful from now on.
I agree with you. I don't foresee happy ending for D/E.

My boyfriend (who is human and is not all super perfect - there are plenty of things he does/says that make him flawed) has told me that if someone approached me in the same way as Stefan (and not even the whole "vampire blood thing, I'm just saying if a guy messed with me) he'd be in his face breaking his fingers... and my man's super calm, cool and collected most of the time. I guess I just wished that on them. I want someone who will protect Elena - like the scene with John Gilbert and Stefan in the hospital or Damon and Isobel "messenger" scene.

i'm not very invested in Stefan at all. i never have been so his actions tend to make me yawn. they seem... childish, cowardly. i don't know. i'm just not feeling the 'i'm so bad. watch me destroy things' vibe. when Damon flips, he destroys on a grand scale (which is not exactly healthy, but you see the downward spiral). Stefan is very understated in his demise. it just puzzles me that he's using emotional destruction to undermine his relationships with everyone when he supposedly can't feel. i suppose that probably is 'devious' and cold but i'm just not feeling it
no subject
Yeah I understand what you are saying, it's the same thing in SPN with Jared acting. I guess it depends on how much the actor makes you feel.
no subject
I think they lose sight of the fact too that vampires aren't human. Like ... for all of how violent and awful (by our standards) Damon could be in s1-2, he was very true to the basic nature of a predator. Like a lion who is really pretty to look at in a Nature Channel special - and then runs after a gazelle and rips it to shreds >.< It's a different 'species' with a different morality, and although I understand the humans who are like "you vampires are dangerous!!", I'm always a little confused at the ones who seem to think that vampires should act and think like humans simply because they look like us.
no subject
Exactly. As you said, they are different, they have a different way of feeling and living.
I'm always a little confused at the ones who seem to think that vampires should act and think like humans simply because they look like us.
Amen to that.

Stefan really freaked me out in this episode. Is he really that obsessed with destroying Klaus at any cost?? He didn't blink when Klaus threatened Damon. I think that Stefan doesn't want Damon to die, but the fact that he could actively terrify Elena and use her simply to get Klaus to get rid of his hybrids really makes me question how far gone he is.
I felt so bad for Elena as she broke down on the bridge. Nina nailed that performance.
Klaus has become a very interesting character to me. He's such a dangerous combination since he'll use the appearance of good as a means to do evil. His scene with Caroline really got me, though. That he would share that information with her and give her the choice of whether she lives or dies was oddly touching to me. I loved their chemistry and may be joining you in shipping them together. I have to say, I wish Elijah had a bigger part in this Season of Originals.
I totally agree with everything you said about Damon & Elena on the porch. You have such a great way of expressing my thoughts, sweetie. Elena's face was so expressive and seemed to be saying how easily she would love to give in and let Damon just hold and comfort her after that horrible scene with Stefan, but she knows that would be unfair to Damon. Elena has such strength of character resisting that pull between them to just let him hold her for one night to take away the pain. *sigh*
I loved Matt & Elena on the bridge. It was so appropriate that Matt was the one to tell her it's okay to let go of that Elena. I hope that this transition will bring her good things in the future.
no subject
Of course he doesn't want Damon or Elena to die, but he is willing to do everything to kill Klaus and I am not sure he is totally aware of the consequences...
His scene with Caroline really got me, though.
I just hope that Caroline doesn't start to trist him.
I have to say, I wish Elijah had a bigger part in this Season of Originals.

This is exactly how I feel about it. :Nods:
"Friends don't strip friends of their free will". The show keeps pointing out that compulsion is not a good thing. I really have nothing to add to this, I just thought this was a really awesomely-worded thought. :)
Damon and Ric!!!! Humanity dimmer switch and small list. They love each other, they do *grins*
Yeah, see I wasn't feeling the love in this scene and Ric kinda irritated me because he's always being so mean and grouchy to Damon now. {pouts}
Anyway I seriously don't get Ric attitude.
Yeah, THIS! Come on, RIC!
Was Damon a little uncomfortable when Ric asked him about Elena?
I didn't think he was. I know others saw it, but I really don't think Damon realized anything off about Elena was because of him. :shrugs:
Loved the interaction between Damon, Carol and Klaus.
That was my third favorite scene of the night. SO AWESOME! I rewound it a few times.
Exactly, that's exactly how I read the scene too. :)
