-Way better than last week episode. I feel like they amended with this one and I am now super excited to see what's come next! YAY for both SPN and TVD!

-I know Haven tonight is going to kill me.

-Catching up with you all soon.

-the fact that both Stefan and Elena are writing diaries and are not talking between them it's not ok for their relationship. Keeping their feelings for their own shows how apart they are.

-I don't like that Stefan is working behind Damon's back, teaming up with the one who has been possibly his worst enemy ever.

-LOVED THE TEAM!DAMON/TEAM!STEFAN scene. I actually think they were both right...but damn if Damon is hot when he is pissed.

-I don't trust the professor and Bonnie is definetly on the wrong side.

-Damon/Elena "fighting"scene? HOT! and sweet at the same time. These two...they have to end up together. Even though I still think Elena is not the best choice for Damon, when it's just the two of them, I see how they could be and I support it.

-"Start telling the truth Stefan" Yes please Stefan..stop. Stefan, don't even try this. Don't play this card on Elena. Does Damon not care about the hostages? Maybe. Does he risk them to kill Connor? No and you know why? Because he knows how much they mean for Elena. Once again you showed how much you don't get your brother, Stefan and how you try to manipulate everyone, Elena included. Anyway, I kinda feel sorry for him, because he does everything out of his love for Elena. So I feel for him, but don't agree with him at all.

-Oh Caroline...so sorry...btw I am liking Tyler more this season.

-OH wow kickass!Elena :)

-OMG the twisted relationship Damon and Stefan have...it kills me. And the look on Damon face when Stefan told him about the cure....awwwwww...knowing how much Damon misses being human, how much he didn't want to turn...that look just killed me.
And I can't just can't deal with Stefan keeping this from his own brother because he knows, he should know what this means for Damon.

-and finally it happened, Elena killed a human.

-OMG all the feels....Elena feeling betrayed by Stefan, Damon trying to defend his brother, Elena breaking down. I feel so sorry for all of them, because I love them so much. The three of them.

--Jeremy is the key to find the cure. He is one of the hunters.

-Damon and Stefan are the most stable relationship in this show. As much as they screw up with each other, their bond is unbreakable. I just wish they could understand each other better...oh btw Stefan, you deserved that Damon almost ripped your heart out...LOL!

-Damon loves Elena either way. Because he loves her. Period. No question, no difference. Stefan just can't. He wants her to be human because this is what Elena wants, but also because he can't deal with her being a vampire. It actually annoys me that he doesn't want her to be...because you know the whole "free will"thing. Btw at the momentElena doesn't want to be a vampire so I am ok with Stefan take on the whole thing. I just wonder..what if at some point Elena wants to be a vampire? What would Stefan do? I am not even sure Damon and Stefan would take the cure and be human again actually. After more than 150 years, the idea of losing what they have as vampires might not be so attractive.

The most beautiful thing of the whole episode? Damon telling his brother that he is going to find the cure for him, because it's what Stefan wants. No matter how complicated their relationship is, it's precious and they will always be there for each other.
Damon/Stefan is the relationship I am more invested in. I just love it.

Just two things -- your gif set reminded me of this and I added it to my post. There was one small Damon thing that I loved, and maybe I was the only one who thought this, but when Stefan told Damon there was a cure for vampirism and Damon repeated it back there was more than just surprise in his voice, I swear there was a teen bit of hope. Hope that was there on his face as well, and I just couldn't help but flashback to him telling Jessica that his big secret is that he misses being human. And Stefan telling him that in that moment opened the floodgate, even if only briefly, of that desire that Damon has to be human again. Something that we know no one else not only knows, but has absolutely zero clue about and would never guess.

Also, I do disagree with this:

he does everything out of his love for Elena

I don't see Stefan doing anything for the love of Elena. Stefan is doing everything that gives Stefan what Stefan wants.

There was hope. Hope for himself since he misses being human. It makes me ache that none has a clue about it because none really knows Damon..

I do think that Stefan loves Elena and that part of him wants Elena human because he can't daelw ith Elena's pain. Plus I think Stefan wants to amend because he let her die. The other part is doing what it is doing because he can't deal with Elena being a vampire, simply because he can't deal with himself being one.

Stefan is not black or white. He is complicated and even if I don't think he loves Elena the way Damon does, he does love him.

I don't disagree that he loves her (or that he loves Damon --in fact, I think that he loves Damon as selflessly as he's capable of -- Damon is Stefan's #1). But you said that everything Stefan does he does for love of Elena and I don't believe that at all. Yes, he loves her, but his choices, his actions are motivated by what he gets out of it. He admitted as such to Caroline in 2.03 and that has been shown time and time again to be the case. And that makes him shades of gray and not one thing or the other.

I think I basically agree with you about the whole shades of grey. The fact that Damon is going to be fine with Elena either way, while Stefan just can't take her as a vampire, says it all.

Speaking of, Damon was magnificent in this episode. From barging into Elena's bedroom searching for Stefan to his final words to Stefan.

I really loved how while Stefan was off being a liar and collaborator with Klaus, the rest of the gang turned to Damon for help getting Jeremy, Matt, and April out and stopping Conner for good. Tyler, Caroline, and Elena were all looking to Damon and Damon was leading them, coming up with a plan of attack.

Stefan's grand entrance then only served to show how out of sync he is with everyone. He did have a point about Conner liking traps and booby traps, but the problem was how Stefan phrased it that caused so much trouble. He said, "You're not all going until I figure out what's going on." That was where Stefan lost credibility. Nonetheless, I really liked how Damon agreed to play it smart and gave Stefan one hour chance for recon while he and Elena went to Ric's loft to find another way into the Grill.

I found that very telling of Damon and Elena's relationship. Elena trusts Damon, works with him as an equal partner. In time of crisis she immediately turned to Damon. The others turned to Damon as well, a prime example would be Jeremy in the episode two weeks ago calling Damon and telling him about Conner coming to the school and threatening him etc.

Not to mention Damon has rescued and protected Matt and Jeremy of his own violation as well. He cares about them, Jeremy moreso, than he's willing to admit I think. Which is why I was very disappointed we didn't get any interaction between them. But I did like Damon's line about compelling Jeremy down to the Bahamas's because he was obviously joking but at the same time sending Jeremy to such a place and saying he hope the kid can find a nice island girl tells me he does want Jeremy to be happy and safe. Sure its tied up in Elena in many ways, but not completely. He worked with Jeremy easily when setting the first trap for Conner, made sure the boy was nowhere near the more dangerous aspect of the plan, but at the same time included him whereas Elena and Stefan always used to push Jeremy out to keep him safe.

Personally, I don't think Stefan realizes how deeply Damon is now rooted in life at Mystic Falls. Damon still has connections with Sheriff Forbes (love her and was glad there was a shout out to her in this episode) and Meredith Fell. He also is the one Jeremy and Elena both look to now that Ric *sniff* is gone. Imagine Damon leaving, like he was going to. The gang wouldn't last long at all! They depend on Damon, and so does Stefan.

It will be interesting to see how the brothers relationship will play out. More interesting will be seeing Elena face reality and hopefully force Stefan to face it too and how Damon will respond to them both.

Can't wait for the next episode!
