SPN:How much do I miss them?

Hi flist,

how are you doing? I am good. Busy, melting because it's too hot, watching European Football Championship and enjoying them...can't wait to be on holiday though.

Anyway I was scrolling my dash on Tumblr and I saw these:

I miss them so much...they were so perfect together. My shipper heart is still faithful to the magnificent idea that Dean and Jo were. I won't ever forgive SPN for having killed her off. Never. Jo was a character who deserved to be explored more.

Yes, I agree and I had the same type of feelings for Cordelia when they killed her off from the series Angel.

I'd love for them to explore the Jo/Dean relationship (may be a hidden tyrst, that's revealed when they finally do that flashback episode) I know that Jensen didn't like the Ben/Lisa story arc for Dean, but I've always wondered what he thought about the Jo/Dean story arc?

Here it's scorching hot:). Miss them too...They would of been so lovely together. And i gotta share this awesome video with the two of them, though. One of the most spectacular i have even seen for this ship:). After all this time, the fact that i can't remember when or where Dean said that that heartbreaking "I love you" @ 0:52 it,s still wracking my brain. Unfortunately, i might add, still didn't fond out till this very day:))

Dean has never said "I love you" to Jo...I am not even sure Dean has ever said it that way to anyone, but I should think about it a little better :)

I never saw any chemistry between them at all. It probably has everything to do with my thoughts on Alona as an actress. I don't like her in anything she does. She seems to play the same type of character all the time. It's a shame, because she seems to be so nice and was really sweet in person.

I met her at my very first con and she was sweet and nice.
I think I was so fond of Dean/Jo because of what she could have been for him in that moment and I totally dilsiked that Kripke changed his mind also because some fans started to scream out loud (remember those times when wincesters always kept saying that Dean's one true love was only Sam?)...but t's ok, it's probably the first time we disagree on something Dean related )

Oh, you reminded me of my dreams. Long time ago i wanted them to be together. Then i wanted him to be with Lisa but even then i liked Jo as Dean's friend.
Now when Lisa is no more *sigh* and they returned so many characters from being dead i wish they'd bring Jo back too. Even as a ghost she was kind to Dean and still was his friend. Such a loss *sobs*

Basically I want Dean to be happy, but at the time he met Jo, she was perfect for him imo. Because she was hopeful, strong, determined. She was fresh air and tender loving care.

When he first met her she wasn't imo. She evolved and became a woman you described. Then she was good for him but they killed her off :/
Remember their first time? She was a kid still. An arrogant kid. She went a long way to become Jo i liked so much. And i like her for that.

I'd LOVE to know about that! For me it's a very interesting theme to explore. I wish they'd pay more attention to it.
I think i forgave Cas already cause of what he said when he was Emmanuel. He's the only one (male) character who understands and values Dean.

I agree that he understands and values Dean. No doubt about it. I just think that what he has done in S6 is as much disturbing as what Sam did in S4. They both chose themselves over Dean. To me this is the biggest betrayal a person can do in a relationship. I understand why they did it and I have dealt with my issues with Sam. I need to deal with mine with Castiel and this can't happen if teh show doesn't give me the real Castiel and gives me a fucked up Castiel.

I agree that Cas betrayed Dean and that it was/is disturbing.
Only for me it's different from what sam did because of their reactions after that.
Cas knows he was wrong, he admitted it and felt sorry for it. He tried to do everything to fix it. He risked his own life to do that.
He still doesn't trust himself because of what he did cause he's afraid he may become powerful again.
The difference between what cas did and what sam did is their reaction to that and also how it was when they did it.
Sam was told not once that he was wrong but was arrogant enough to think he's right.
Cas wasn't around Dean at the time he betrayed him so he wasn't under Dean's influence much and Dean had no time to convince him he's wrong.
And after that i feel that Cas feels sorry not only cause what he did but also cause he betrayed his only friend.
I don't feel it with sam. He never said or admitted he's sorry for his betrayal of Dean.
That's why i can't forgive him and i doubt i ever will be able to do that.
And that's why i forgave Cas when Dean forgave him.

Well I think Sam did in his own way. He did say he was sorry and that he was wrong. Then we can discuss about the fact that his attitude wasn't coherent with his saying he was sorry.
I blame the writers. Castiel is written way more better than Sam, so I agree, he did something more than Sam in apologizing.

The thing is i don't think it's only in the writing. I don't believe that the writers write for sam for 7 years and still don't know how to write him.
For me the problem lies with the acting too (or the lack of thereof). The same things sam said to Dean could be said with different emotions on his face and with different attitude and then the effect would be different too.
The thing is Misga is a better actor and seems understand his character way better than jp hence the difference between sam's and Cas' apologies.

I do think they know how to write him but they are not able to accomplish what they want, plus we have to accept that Sam is an unaffective character as Kripke himself decsribed him.

I agree that Jared is not good as Misha is in playing his character, but for me this is not enough. It's how they write the characters that makes the biggest difference for me.

I'm not sure they really know what they want anymore. Maybe Kripke wanted sam to be all that and bag of cheaps but it never happened and the writers now have to accept it and go from there and stop pretending that sam is captain empathy. Without that this character is not necessary anymore. He played his part and there's nowhere they can explore him.
Otoh Dean... but that's the very different story :)

I never cared for Dean and Jo as a couple, but I did enjoy the dynamic and the family vibe I got between them. And I certainly miss Jo too. Her character needed to be explored more, and so did Ellen. They are two characters I miss so much!

That's why Jo was so good for Dean imo. Because she liked him and could have loved him for who he was.
