HAPPY WEEKEND FLIST!

How are you doing? I am fine, just busy.

I have read that Megaupload has been shut down by the FBI. My thoughts on this are long and complicated, but let's say that it's not that way they will be able to fight the piracy online. It's the whole idea of property rights that has to be rediscussed.

If SOPA passes they are going to make a big mistake.

I am not saying that piracy is something good. What I think it's that things are a little bit more complicated and that to shut down a site doesn't sort things out.

That being said, what our government should understand is that us, as consumers, have the power to decide if a business is successfull or not. Negoziating is the solution, not listening only to powerful lobbies.

That's it.

This is another possible choice, Why Black March Is a Really Fucking Bad Idea

I don't agree with everything she says but she makes a point when she says weaker subjects are going to pay the highest price. Have a look.

As my friend [livejournal.com profile] aphrodite33 suggested me, go see this site about SOPA. americancensorship.org.
